Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the old Gibson plant, this Eagle Custom would be roughly equivalent to the classic Gibson L-7C of the '50's and 60's. The guitar shares similar materials to its Gibson cousin, including the solid carved spruce top, and the solid flame maple back, sides, and neck. But this guitar adds some upscale touches, including a solid ebony fingerboard, all gold hardware, and sunburst finish on the entire body and neck, highlighting the fiddleback maple body to great advantage. And in contrast to recent L-7 reissues, this Eagle Custom has the classic parallel soundboard bracing, as well as traditional full length 25 1/2" scale, both adding projection and punch to the voice.

With a fresh high-precision setup, the guitar has smooth low action over a gentle D profile neck, very easy in the hand. An elegant single pickup jazz box, the guitar is in superb 100% original condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear and is fitted with a factory original Heritage floating humbucking pickup with volume control and endpin jack.

All solid, all handmade, all crafted in the USA. At a price below many plywood imports. A best buy in a true pro-quality carved archtop: one only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge nickel roundwound strings (.011-.050). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black deluxe arched plush lined Heritage logo hardshell case.
