Serial #: U27604

Finish: Chestnut sunburst, nitrocellulose type

Body size at lower bout: 16". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 11/16"

Materials: Solid carved spruce top; mahogany sides and back; solid mahogany neck; solid rosewood fingerboard; bound body and neck.

Hardware: All gold hardware, including Grover Rotomatic tuners: H-script trapeze tailpiece; compensated tunematic bridge; Gibson PAF style humbucking pickup; bound ebony pickguard; black speed knobs.

Notes: Handbuilt in Kalamazoo by former Gibson artisans in the old Gibson plant, the Heritage H-575 Custom features a 16" Florentine cutaway body, parallel bracing, and fast 24 3/4" scale. This example was custom ordered with a solid carved spruce top for greater acoustic response, and a mahogany body and neck for light weight and good balance. The design harks back to the original L-4CES, a vanishingly rare model made by special order only in 1958 and 1969.

The guitar is in mint condition, with all-gold hardware, medium jumbo frets, and a neck that plays efforlessly. The mounted pickup design offers greater sustain and feedback resistance, and the 16" body is a joy to hold. A great instrument in a distinguished lineage of hard working gig guitars.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original plush hardshell case.
