Serial #: NSN

Scale length: 25 1/2" Nut width: 1 11/16"

Materials: Solid mahogany body with solid flame maple top; solid one-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.

Hardware: All gold hardware includes sealed Gotoh tuners, compensated adjustable bridge/tailpiece. Buscarino signature humbucking pickup, rosewood topped ebony bonnet volume and tone knobs, adjustable truss rod, stainless steel frets.

Notes: Ted Green. Ed Bickert. John Jorgenson. The list of jazz guitar monsters who played Teles may surprise you. But only until you've played one yourself.

A student of both Bob Benedetto and classical builder Augie LoPrinzi, John Buscarino is consistently ranked among the most distinguished of contemporary luthiers. While his master quality archtop guitars have long been renowned in the marketplace, Buscarino continues to produce a very limited number of hand built solid bodies as well.

This example of his Jazzcaster is faithful to the simple genius of the original. No whammy bar. No bells and whistles. Just a gorgeously crafted solid mahogany body topped with deep tiger flame maple. A little extra cutaway on the bass side of the neck for easier access. And one Buscarino signature humbucker right where it belongs.

The solid birdseye maple neck has a smooth matte finish, and is a very comfy medium D profile, with smooth low action over a solid ebony fingerboard. The full 1 11/16" nut offers a bit more generous fingerboard than that offered by the ordinary Tele. The Buscarino Jazzcaster is no longer available from the builder, making it an instant collector's classic. This example is in immaculate, virtually unplayed 100% original condition, and is a fraction of the cost of a new Buscarino solid body, which with options like the maple top and nitro finish, now start at over $4400 with a wait time of up to a year and a half. This is the only Jazzcaster we've ever had the pleasure to offer. Call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge nickel strings (.010). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original super premium Buscarino signature tweed plush lined hardshell case.
