Notes: Introduced in mid-1952, the Gibson Les Paul Model has remained the worlds' most iconic electric guitar to this day. The wraparound tailpiece was introduced in mid-'53, the gold barrel knobs were standard through '55, and twin cream P-90 pickups graced the model until 1957. The following year, Gibson introduced the sunburst finish on the Les Paul Standard, and this handsome guitar combines all those classic features in one stunning package.

The top has the solid curly maple of the most coveted Standards, and neck has the classic full "C" profile of the 1950's. The P-90 pickups are clear and detailed, with the exceptional bite and fidelity of the earliest LPs. The frets are the classic medium-jumbos, and famously easy to play. Even the serial number has been inked on the back of the peghead in the original font, not stamped as on reissues of lesser accuracy.

This outstanding instrument is crafted with an exceptionally figured bookmatched tiger flame maple top, a gently faded ice tea sunburst, and all-nickel hardware to complete the faithful vintage appearance. Maintained in superb condition, the all-original nitro finish shows no pick, thumb, or fingerboard wear, and the neck has smooth low action over freshly dressed medium jumbo frets. Apart from a single faint lacquer dent on the back, the instrument appears otherwise virtually unplayed. The original fitted case is supplied with all original tags, paperwork, Certificate of Authenticity and jumbo leather strap with straplocks. Here's a great opportunity to get true vintage tone, feel and look at a real player's price.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
