Notes: Since its introduction in 1949, the Gibson ES-175 has been the most popular jazz guitar in the world. Originally fitted with a single P-90 pickup, the 175 added a second pickup by 1951, and humbuckers by 1957. The mahogany neck is a feature of the classic models of the 50's and 60's , and produces an instrument that is distinctly lighter in weight, and notably better balanced.

This custom guitar is crafted of extravagant tiger flame maple, and finished in a rare vintage burgundy lacquer. And unlike typical nickel-plated examples of the model, this stunning instrument is fitted with gleaming gold hardware throughout. Crisscrossed with satiny rollers of deep flame figure, the guitar has been maintained in superb condition, free of pickwear, bucklewear, thumb or fingerboard wear, with 100% original hardware, finish and case.

Immaculate medium jumbo frets and a classic gentle C profile make the neck utterly effortless to play. with its fast, nimble 24 3/4" scale, ideal for stretch chords and lightning runs. The twin '57 Classic humbuckers are rich and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. Complete wth original papers and Certificate of Authenticity, this striking instrument joins a distinguished lineage that spans a half century of hard-working guitars. One only: call now.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as needed; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe black arched Gibson logo hardshell case with satin coverelet and plush lining.
