The L-7CN was produced only between 1949 and 1959, and is dimensionally identical to the costly L-5C. Gibson never produced more than a few dozen specimens in natural finish in any production year, and sunburst guitars outnumber blondes at least three to one. This guitar is one of only 31 L-7CN guitars made in 1956, and the first one we've found in several years.

An unusually lightweight and resonant guitar, this L-7C is one of the finest sounding Gibsons we've played in awhile. Particularly notable is the exceptional acoustic volume with excellent clarity and projection. This instrument has a highly figured flame maple back, and a gently ambered hand carved bookmatched spruce top. All orginal blonde finish is intact and in uncannily pristine condition, without cracks, pick, buckle, or thumb wear. The neck is straight, with a gently rounded profile, and the instrument is accompanied with a genuine DeArmond Model 1100 Adjustable Rhythm Chief pickup with mounting bracket and control box. A true 50's vintage Gibson jazzer with a magnificent acoustic voice, at a fraction of the cost of a comparable L-5, this blonde beauty is a compelling reminder of just how fine a nice old Gibson can be.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge radius inspected and recurved as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Black plush hardshell case.
