Serial #: 02806, four bolt neckplate.

Finish: Original three-tone sunburst, nitrocellulose lacquer type.

Materials: Solid alder body; solid one-piece maple neck with patent number decal; solid curved rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

Hardware: All original hardware includes three ply tortoise pickguard; maroon single coil pickup; knurled chrome barrel volume and tone controls; double line nickel Kluson Deluxe tuners; single butterfly string retainer in peghead; "Micro-adjustable" bridge saddles with nickel bridge cover; adjustable truss rod.

Notes: The Fender Electric Mandolin, (aka the 'Mandocaster'), was built in small numbers starting in 1956. This sunburst version made its debut in 1959, and was built until the model was discontinued in 1976. This example is in virtually unplayed condition, with all original hardware and finish, with no cracks, pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear.

Smooth low action over fine original frets, comfy neck profile, and clear, sparkling tone. If you've been searching for a classic 60's era Mandocaster, with classic Tiny Moore tone, you're going to need that time machine to find a cleaner one than this. One only: call now.

Case: Original Fender black tolex hardshell case with orange plush lining.
