Body size at lower bout: 16". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 11/16" Body depth: 1 7/8"

Materials: Solid 3 piece maple neck; solid rosewood fingerboard; arched slab-figure maple top and back; maple sides and back; dual-parallelogram mother of pearl fingerboard inlay and thistle peghead inlay; triple bound top, bound back.

Hardware: Correct nickel Kluson Deluxe tuners, original trapeze tailpiece with raised-parallelogram crossbar; compensated tuneamatic bridge; Gibson humbucking pickup at neck, Duncan at bridge; original beveled 5-ply pickguard, black bonnet knobs and 3 way control switch.

Notes: The thinline version of Gibson's most popular jazz guitar, the ES-175T is a scarce item indeed, having been produced only between 1976 and 1979. Otherwise identical to its chubbier cousin, the 175T nestles snugly under the arm with it's slim body, under 2" in depth. This example is in outstanding condition, with a lovely gentle "C' neck profile. It is in 100% original condition, and is free of pickwear, thumbwear, or cracks. With fine medium jumbo frets under sleek nickel flatwound strings, the fingerboard is utterly effortless to play. The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the twin humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. A great instrument in a distinguished lineage that spans a half century of hard-working guitars.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as required; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel flatwound strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Plush lined hardshell case.
