Notes: And yes, it does sound just as pretty as it looks. Handcrafted of spectacularly extravagant quilted and tiger flame maple, the McKerrihan Mini Keenan 7 is an innovative design, with a compact 15" body that's exceptionally comfortable to play, and slings handily into a gig bag for travel. At just 6b. 5oz, the instrument is comfortably lightweight, and the slim 2 3/4" body depth fits snugly under the arm. Finally the zero-soundlhole design is highly feedback resistant, a particular challenge on 7 string instruments in general.
The neck is equally well crafted, with a slim, flat profile that is notably easy to play, even for hands of moderate size. Body and neck are hand carved of AAAA quilted and tiger flame maple, and the twin Kent Armstrong PAF humbucking pickups provide warm, accurate amplification and incomparable adjustability. Designer touches include all handmade ebony hardware, abalone and pearl split-block inlay, and the sort of meticulous fit and finish found only on the finest luthier built instruments. This example is in outstanding condition, 100% original, without cracks, pick, buckle, thum or fingerboard wear, and only a few scattered incidental finish dings. A compact full-featured road guitar for the touring pro, or an ideal instrument for the 6 string player wishing to branch out, the McKerrihan offer custom luthier quality at a factory box price,
Case: Original black plushlined hardshell case.
