When you're having a real party, you want real music. But how can you make sure you're hiring a band that will really work for your event? Here are some questions you should ask as you evaluate any potential music providers:
Do you have samples of your music on CD? Full Swing has a complementary demo CD, with musical examples in a variety of musical styles and band configurations. For a free copy, click here.
We'll have guests from all age groups. Can you play a little something for everybody? Our repertoire is culled from the greatest dance and listening tunes of the 20th Century. Swing, jazz, blues, latin, and good time rock 'n roll. And if you like, we can take musical excursions ranging from European Gypsy jazz to downhome Western Swing.
Can you take requests? How large is your music library? Full Swing has over 20,000 tunes, one of the largest private music libraries in the Northwest. And if we can't find your special song, send us the sheet music in advance, and we'll create an arrangement for you at no extra charge.
How experienced is your ensemble? Members of Full Swing have worked in the Northwest for over 20 years. Each member is a highly experienced performer, with years of training and expertise. In addition, we are proud to be members of Local 76-493 of the American Federation of Musicians.
Will we have to provide the band with any equipment? None at all. Our PA system is a complete, compact, and professional sound reinforcement system, right down to the extension cords. On critical pieces of gear, we carry backups, because the show must go on...no matter what.
Will the music stop during intermissions? In addition to our own PA system, Full Swing carries a CD player with CD's , so the music never stops, even when the band is on break.
Can we be sure the band will be here on time? Our setup crew arrives at least a full hour before the music is scheduled to start, to make sure everything goes smoothly, every time.
Will your attire be appropriate to our event? Each of our members has a professional wardrobe, including formal, business and neat casual attire.
What are your references? Full Swing has worked with some of the most prestigious clients in the Northwest, including The Washington Athletic Club, The Seattle Supersonics, The Rainier Club, The Ruins, Seafair, A Contemporary Theatre, and numerous charitable foundations, corporate and private clients. Can you accept payments by Visa and Mastercard? We are happy to accept payment by major credit or debit cards, and personal or company checks are welcome.
