Notes: An acolyte of Guild head designer Carlo Greco in NYC, Brad Nickerson set up his shop in Northhampton, MA in 1982, and relocated to Asheville, NC in 2006, where he maintains an active luthiery and teaching practice. A versatile builder, Nickerson produces a full line of hand crafted instruments, for an enthusiastic roster of performers and recording artists.

The Nickerson Virtuoso 7 is hand graduated from solid tonewoods, including the tap-tuned, X-braced spruce soundboard, and two-piece maple neck with solid ebony fingerboard. At barely over 6lb, the instrument is lightweight and well balanced, on the lap or the strap, with a rich, woody voice, and a 7th string clear and well focused right down to the low A.

Graced with gorgeous bookmatched fiddleback maple back and sides, and dramatic elm burl headstock facing, the Venetian cutaway body is equipped with a Benedetto S-6 floating humbucking pickup, volume and tone controls, and endpin jack. Carefully maintained, the guitar is in 100% original condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, and has smooth low action over a gentle D profile neck, with a fresh high-precision setup.

A superb example of the luthier's craft, this handsome guitar is an outstanding player, and a true best buy in a handbuilt American classic. One only: call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge roundwound strings (.013-.080). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings.

Case: Deluxe arched tweed plush lined hardshell case.
