Materials: Bookmatched solid bookmatched spruce top; solid figured bookmatched Indian rosewood back and sides; solid mahogany neck; solid ebony fingerboard; solid rosewood bound body.
Hardware: All original hardware including DR Selmer style tailpiece; gold 16:1 tuners; solid ebony bridge; Bigtone pickup with endpin jack.
Notes: Shelley Park's guitars have become prized on both sides of the Atlantic for their beauty, power and ultra-meticulous craftsmanship. An updating of the Selmer "Petit Bouche" used by Django himself, the Park Encore has the long 670mm scale for exceptional punch and projection, and a 14 fret neck for improved access.
Immaculately constructed with a top of extremely fine grained spruce with exceptional crossgrain silk, this vibrant guitar is built with back and sides of solid straight-grain Indian rosewood. Weighing in at a bare 4lb. 1oz, the guitar has been maintained in superb condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. All original hardware includes engraved, pearl button tuners, DR tailpiece and Bigtone pickup with endpin jack.
The neck profile is a gentle D, easy in the palm, with smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup. The voice is clear and powerful, with excellent articulation, resonance and snap: a guitar to rule any campfire session.
