Notes: Texas luthier Ed Schaefer's archtop guitars are meticulously constructed entirely by hand, and rarely seen on the vintage market. His Swingmaster marries the premium hand-carved solid spruce soundboard and highly flamed maple body with the classic tone of the tap-tuned, X-braced Venetian cutaway design. The 17 3/8" body is a tribute to the classic Epiphone Deluxe, and the warm amber blonde finish shows the intensely figured tiger flame maple body to great advantage.

The neck has a comfy gentle "D" profile, notably sleek and fast, and the frets are the classic medium-jumbos, famously easy to play. Body and neck are well balanced, and the instrument sits comfortably on the lap or the shoulder. The Armstrong Handmade floating humbucking pickup produces a smooth, silky tone, notably faithful to the warm acoustic voice. The instrument is in immaculate, virtually unplayed condition, without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. A handbuilt marvel, the Swingmaster offers true vintage craftsmanship in an elegant contemporary package.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Original deluxe arched plush hardshell case.
