Notes: A superbly crafted instrument by one of America's most accomplished young builders. Bryant Trenier is a European trained luthier whose instruments combine traditional design with exacting contemporary standards of craft. Rare among contemporary builders, Trenier is a fine visual designer as well as a meticulous fabricator. The result is an instrument as pleasing to the eye as it is to the ear and the hand.

A full depth super jumbo guitar in the tradition of the D'Angelico New Yorker, the Trenier Magnolia is carved of exceptional tiger flame maple, with a hand-graduated bookmatched fine grained European spruce top. The cello-grade flamed maple back shows figure in a wonderfully symmetrical pattern, and the rims show a particularly fine vivid figure.

At barely 5lb, the guitar is notably light in weight for an 18" model, and is deeply resonant, with exceptional clarity and balance across the range. With it's finely graduated, tap-tuned, X-braced top, and all European tonewoods, this powerful instrument is a true acoustic archtop in the big band tradition, with big buttery warmth and massive projection.

The gentle D profile neck is easy in the hand, with smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup. Premium features include curly maple body binding, bound ebony pickguard and hardware, and a Kent Armstrong Handwound Floating PAF pickup, the industry gold standard. Carefully maintained, the instrument is in all original condition, and apart from a small nick near the bass soundhole, appears essentially unplayed.

Super jumbo 18" guitars represent the scarcest examples of Bryant's output, and at this writing, we understand that he has suspended new orders to catch up on his considerable backlog. A rare opportunity to skip the queue and bag an instant classic, from a builder whose instruments have soared dramatically in demand. One only: call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge bronze roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe arched black plush lined hardshell case.
