Materials: Solid Honduras mahogany neck; arched slab-cut maple body; solid rosewood fingerboard

Hardware: All original nickel hardware includes twin '57 Classic humbucking pickups; Kluson Deluxe tuners; ABR-1 Tunematic bridge with stop tailpiece and studs; gold bell volume and tone knobs; 5 ply wide-beveled pickguard with nickel support bracket; medium jumbo frets.

Notes: Introduced in 1958, the ES-335TD ("Thin Double-cutaway") cemented Gibson's reputation for cutting-edge innovation combined with classic traditional design. The thin body was easier for players to hold, the inner block enhanced sustain and reduced feedback, and the new PAF humbucking pickups set a new standard for quiet operation, high output, and sweet, fat tone. Small wonder that the 335 became an instant classic, and has remained one of the worlds' most popular electric guitars to this day.

Rarest and most coveted of all are the natural finish versions, built only between 1958 and 1960. Just over 200 blondes were built in total, and a good one today could run over six figures. This handsome example is a product of Gibson's Historic series, and built entirely in their premium Memphis Custom Shop.

Meticulously faithful to the original, it shows attractive slab-cut maple in the top and back, the generous 1 11/16" fingerboard, and the full, gently rounded neck profile of the classic '59 dot necks. The full access 22 fret neck has the compact headstock with its 17 degree angle as well, and true nickel hardware throughout.

The vintage blonde finish shows the figured maple body to great advantage, and the frets are the classic Gibson medium-jumbos, famously easy to play. The body and neck are well balanced, and the instrument sits comfortably on the lap or the shoulder. The '57 Classic humbucking pickups produce a smooth, high output signal with rich, creamy mids and sustain to burn.

Carefully maintained, the instrument is free of pick, thumb, buckle or fingerboard wear, and apart from a few pick marks on the guard, shows few signs of play altogether. The instrument plays smoothly, with the rich, sweet, bluesy tone for which this model is justly famed. With its fresh high-precision setup, the guitar is ready to plug and play. A certificate of authenticity from the Gibson Custom Shop is included in the case, along with other factory case candy. A gleaming tribute to a legendary classic. One only: call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished. Action is set from 4 to 5/64" at the 12th fret.

Case: Original deluxe black arched Gibson logo plush lined hardshell case.
