Materials: Bookmatched solid red cedar top; solid figured bookmatched flame maple back, sides, and neck; solid ebony fingerboard; curly maple bound body.

Hardware: All original hardware including solid ebony bridge; DR Selmer style tailpiece; gold 16X1 tuners; Bigtone pickup with endpin jack.

Notes: Shelley Park's guitars have become prized on both sides of the Atlantic for their beauty, power and ultra-meticulous craftsmanship. An updating of the Selmer "Petit Bouche" used by Django himself, the Park Encore has the long 670mm scale for exceptional punch and projection, and a 14 fret neck for improved access. With top of remarkably tight grained solid red cedar rimmed in vivid curly maple, the guitar is extremely light in weight (just 3lb. 6oz.) and the neck joins the body in a slim, elegant flat heel.

Immaculately constructed, this example is built with back and sides of solid tiger flame maple of spectacular intensity, and maintained in immaculate condition, with all original hardware and Bigtone pickup. A special feature of this instrument is the oval sound port on the upper bass bout, which not only enhances the tone under the ear, but also increases volume and bass response for the instrument as a whole.

The Park neck profile is a gentle D, renowned for its comfort and playability, with smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup. The guitar is 100% original, and shows no pick, buckle, thumb or fingerbpard wear. Apart from a tiny finish crack between the end of the fingerboard and the soundhole rosette, the instrument appears to be in virtually unplayed condition. The cedar and maple tonewoods produce an instrument of striking brilliance and projection: this cannon of a guitar will cut smartly through the most unruly jam session. A magnificent combination of Old World design and New World sensibility, and your chance to jump the queue and bag a bargain besides. One only: call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge silvered steel strings, and will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference.

Case: Original deluxe black arched plush lined hardshell case.
