Notes: Composer, performer, author and clinician, Professor Fred Hamilton is a busy man. A veteran faculty member in Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas, Hamilton can add to his credentials the title of distinguished guitar designer as well. Working with renowned Austin luthier Ed Schaefer, Hamilton envisioned an instrument that fuses tone, comfort, and versatility with an effortess playability. The perfect instrument for the player on the go, the Fred Hamilton Signature has a compact, slimline 14" body, hand-crafted of all solid tonewoods. With a premium tap-tuned carved spruce soundboard of extraordinarily tight grain, and a highly flamed tiger maple body, the guitar is astoundingly light in weight as well. At a mere 4lb 11oz, it practically floats on the lap, yet is built to withstand the rigors of the road.

One of just six examples ever made, the Hamilton's innovative deep cutaway allows free access to the full range of the extended 22 fret fingerboard. The neck has a comfy gentle "D" profile, easy in the palm, and the solid ebony fingerboard has smooth, low action over a fresh high-precision setup. The custom built-in humbucker was hand-wound by Fort Worth pickup wizard Jerry Amalfitano, and has a full, saturated tone, highlighting the rich harmonics of the finely graduated soundboard.

This gleaming guitar has 100% original finish, hardware and electronics, and is without pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear. Apart from a small ding in the lower treble bout, the guitar shows few signs of play altogether. The ideal companion for the gigging player, the Fred Hamilton Signature is right at home in the club, the studio, or the overhead bin.

Your high 'D' awaits. One only: call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
