Notes: Gretsch introduced the Country Club model in 1954, replacing the Electro II Cutaway model which had been in production since 1951. A longtime favorite, the remains in production to this day. With the body width and long scale of the Gibson L-5, the Country Club has a warm full tone, and its slightly shallower body depth (now adopted by Benedetto, Sadowsky and other contemporary builders) makes for an unusually comfortable playing experience.

Classic appointments o this Vintahe Select '59 reissue include the thumbprint inlays, bound fingerboard, and Grover Imperial tuners. A handily placed master volume control facilitates dynamics during play as well. Finished in a lustrous Cadillac Green, one of Gretsch's first custom colors, the Country Club also was one of the first production guitars to be factory equipped with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece as standard equipment.

This faithful reissue combines many of the most desirable features of this favorite model, fitted with TV Jones Classic Filter-Tron style pickups, rolled binding, oversize F-holes, locking tuners, and traditional '59 trestle bracing for enhanced resistance to feedback.

This example has been maintained in superb condition, without pick, buckle, thumb, fingerboard or fret wear. Apart from a few incidental finish nicks, the instrument shows little signs of play altogether. The guitar has a fine, versatile voice covering the gamut from bebop to rockabilly, with action smooth and low over a comfy, comfy D shaped neck profile, and a fresh high precision setup.

A stunning interpretation of a historic model, this magnificent guitar comes complete with all its Original deluxe arched plush lined Gretsch hardshell case, and an additional vintage style Gretsch 'Space Controller' bridge saddle. Roll this Caddy to the Club in style: one only, call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge radius inspected and recurved as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Setup: This instrument is strung with light gauge nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
