Notes: Introduced in 1958, the ES-335TD ("Thin Double-cutaway") cemented Gibson's reputation for cutting-edge innovation combined with classic traditional design. The thin body was easier for players to hold, the inner block enhanced sustain and reduced feedback, and the new PAF humbucking pickups set a new standard for quiet operation, high output, and sweet, fat tone. Small wonder that the 335 became an instant classic, and has remained one of the worlds' most popular electric guitars to this day.

In 1963, Gibson introduced the handsome block inlay fingerboard, and the popular slim-taper neck. Retaining the generous 1 11/16" fingerboard width, the slim-taper neck reduced the bulk of the neck profile slightly from front to back (.850 depth at the first fret) at for an incomparably comfortable playing experience. The full access 22 fret neck has the classic compact headstock with 17 degree angle, and the guitar is fitted with vintage correct nickel hardware throughout, including improved 18:1 Grover Rotomatics for more precise tuning, and the Tone Pros AVR-2 Tuneomatic bridge for enhanced compensation and sustain, while retaining the classic 60's appearance.

The frets are the classic 50's style Gibson mediums, the body and neck are nicely balanced, and the instrument sits smartly on the lap or the shoulder. Neck binding is gently rolled as well, for a more elegant feel in the hand. The Burstbucker Pro pickups produce a smooth, high output signal with lots of snap and sustain, with clarity enhanced by a specially designed tone capacitor for the neck pickup that improves high frequency harmonics.

In pristine, virtually unplayed condition, the guitar has the smooth, bluesy tone, and comfy feel, for which this model is justly famed. Complete with Certificate of Authenticity: one only, call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
