Notes: George Lowden has been building master quality guitars for over 40 years, principally from his workshops in his native Ireland. A legend among flat top players, Lowden branched into innovative gut-string instruments some years ago, developing what he calls a 'jointless' crossover soundboard bracing system, which he feels allows the top to respond vigorously throughout the frequency range.

Lowden's S25J Jazz model is a hybrid design, particularly well suited for bossa nova and fingerstyle jazz, offering a warm rich tone without sacrifice of range, comfort and playability. The 14 fret body and Venetian cutaway allow unrestricted access to the full 20 frets, and the gently radiused fingerboard and slimmer 17/8" nut width are particularly suited to the preferences of contemporary jazz and bossa players.

The Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup system is one of the most natural we've heard for the delicate nuances of nylon strings, and is controlled with thumbwheel volume and tone controls, conveniently mounted just inside the soundhole.

At just 3lb. 15oz, the instrument is happily lightweight and well balanced, and features a Western Red Cedar soundboard for a lively, forward voice, solid Indian Rosewood body, and solid mahogany binding. She's in superb 100% original condition, plays flawlessly with a fresh high-precision setup, and is an excellent choice for the steel string player who wants warm traditional tone with a notably player-friendly neck. One only: call now.

Case: Original black Hiscox ultralight molded plush lined hardshell case.
