Materials: Solid birdseye maple top and neck; Spanish cedar body; Honduran mahogany neck; solid ebony fingerboard; multi-ply cream binding.

Hardware: Aged nickel hardware includes CC Adjustable neck pickup, Seymour Duncan Custom P-90 bridge pickup, Kluson Deluxe tuners, Tune-o-matic style bridge, trapeze tailpiece, gold bell volume and tone knobs, 3 way pickup switch.

Notes: Distinctive among contemporary builders, Dutch luthier Daniel Slaman has made a specialty with his 'New Vintage Guitars'. While many of his models remain scrupulously faithful to vintage designs, Slaman also creates original instruments that combine classic features in innovative ways. His striking Pauletta model is a prime example, crafted with a rare highly figured birdseye maple top, a UK built Charlie Christian style pickup at the neck, and a tailpiece inspired by Gibson's legendary ES-250 of the 1940's.

With the addition of the Seymour Duncan Custom P-90 at the bridge position, the Pauletta is capable of a wide palette of traditional single coil guitar tones, from sparkling clean, to warmly overdriven. At 8lb 10oz the partially chambered Spanish cedar body is distinctly lighter than typical Les Pauls, and its Honduran mahogany neck lends excellent balance of the lap or the strap.

Including the Kluson Deluxe single ring tuners, all hardware is aged nickel, and the entire instrument has been given a light relic treatment by the builder. Action is smooth and low over a comfy D profile neck, with fine medium jumbo frets and a high precision setup.
