Notes: In late 1954, Gretsch introduced the guitar that would become its most iconic creation: the Chet Atkins Hollow Body. Designed in collaboration with Nashville's most famous instrumentalist, the 6120 drew upon Chet's long recording and performing experience to create an exceptionally versatile, highly playable electric instrument.

The fully hollow body, slimmer in depth than conventional archtops, lent a more comfortable feel. A handily placed master volume control facilitated dynamics during play. Later renamed the Nashville Model, the 6120 became one of the first production guitars to be factory equipped with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece as standard equipment.

This faithful reissue honors the most prominent advocate of the model, multiple Grammy winner Brian Setzer, whose fusion of rockabilly and big band swing has helped him sell over 13 million discs wordwide. Finished in a vintage semi-gloss Smoke Orange lacquer, the Setzer Nashville combines many of the most desirable features of this favorite model, fitted with TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity pickups, traditional '59 trestle bracing, rolled binding, oversize F-holes, locking tuners, and the classic Gretsch logo Bigsby tailpiece.

This example is craftes with handsome birdseye maple, and is in immaculate showroom condition, without apparent playwear of any kind. The guitar has a fine, versatile voice covering the gamut from bebop to rockabilly, with action smooth and low over a comfy, gentle C profile neck with a light V contour, and a fresh high precision setup.

A stunning interpretation of a historic model, this magnificent guitar comes complete with all its original paperwork and case candy, including the additional 'pair-o-dice' control knobs. Get lucky with this high rolling clasic: one only, call now.

String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with light relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
