Notes: The Gibson L-7C was produced between 1948 and 1972, and was constructed with the same body size, bracing and scale length as its upscale cousin, the L-5C. And like the L-5, this classic model features all solid, all carved construction, including a back carved of highly figured bookmatched flame maple.

Weighing in at barely over 5lb, this remarkable instrument is one of the lightest full size Gibson archtops we have ever had the pleasure to play. Exceptionally well balanced, it simply floats on the lap, its voice a model of clarity and resonance, with the sort of volume and projection one expects only in the better noncutaway instruments. Carefully maintained, the guitar has 100% original finish and hardware, and has never had a pickup installed.

The neck has a full width 1 11/16" nut and a gentle, easy D profile, with smooth low action over a fresh high-precision setup. Apart from a few random pick marks, the guitar shows few signs of play, and is remarkably free of buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, with all original fretwork in excellent condition. A single short grainline crack under the tailpiece has been professionally resealed, along with another on the side in the waist.

Feather-light and vibrant, with an effortless neck, this gleaming guitar offers prewar quality tone, with elegant modern playability. One only: call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge radius inspected and recurved as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

Case: Deluxe molded black arched hardshell case.
