SN# 8041510, # 010 on headplate

Finish: Cherryburst, nitrocellulose type

Materials: Highly figured solid tiger flame maple top; solid Honduras mahogany neck and body; solid ebony fingerboard.

Hardware: All original vintage style gold hardware includes Gibson Tim Shaw designed custom PAF pickups, aluminum stop tailipiece, ABR-1 Tuneomatic bridge, Grover Rotomatic tuners, gold bonnet volume and tone knobs, Les Paul signature cream pickguard with nickel support bracket, 3 way switch, 'Heritage Award' truss rod cover.

Notes: Introduced in mid-1952, the Gibson Les Paul Model has remained the worlds' most iconic electric guitar to this day. The stop tailpiece and Tuneomatic bridge were introduced in 1955, the gold barrel knobs were standard through 1960, and PAF humbucking pickups graced the model beginning in mid-1957. The following year, Gibson introduced the sunburst finish and figured maple top on the Les Paul Standard, and this handsome guitar combines all those classic features.

Built between 1980 and 1982, the Les Paul Heritage 80 series was Gibson's first offering of a faithful '58-'60 LP Standard flametop reissue. The Award model was the uppermost offering in the Heritage reissue series, a release that included Standard and Elite models as well. Limited to just 50 instruments, the Award was offered as a reward to top Gibson retailers with outstanding sales numbers. This guitar is #10 of the series, and is crafted with an handsomely figured bookmatched tiger flame maple top, a brilliant cherryburst finish, and all-gold hardware to complete the faithful vintage appearance.

Built with the full '59 style neck profile of the original Standards, the guitar is also fitted a premium solid ebony fingerboard, in the style of the Les Paul Custom. The pickups were meticulously recreated PAFs by pickup expert Tim Shaw, and feature his standard 137 neck pickup, and slightly overwound 138 bridge model. Action is smooth and low action over a fresh high-precision setup. Finish and hardware are 100% original, and the instrument shows minimal playwear, with only a few scattered lacquer nicks and a bit of superficial buckle denting on the back. The original brown 5 latch 'Cali Girl' hardshell case has a replacement handle, and includes original paperwork as well.

A rare combination of premium features, in one gleaming instrument. Where it all began: one only, call now.

Setup: Trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.
