I sold my lovely Eastman AR910CE through Joe because I knew he’d find a good home for it. The transaction was smooth. Joe’s  good people. Lew Consiglieri, Henderson, NV
Thank you for the fastest shipping I’ve ever experienced, and the guitar arrived very well packed. The H525 is exactly as described, and looks even better in person! ps -  The setup is great for me… it plays easily and those Lollar P90s really sing through my old Princeton. Joe Weihe, Pt. Townsend, WA
I've sold two guitars working with Joe through archtopcom and both experiences have been fantastic. His attention to presentation and the broad reach of his website produced faster sales with better prices than I could have hoped to achieve on my own. Great partner! Matt Ingeneri, Arlington, VA
Joe, Just a short note to tell you I installed a Go Acoustic Audio  pick-up system in the 2018 Cabaret and the sound/tone is amazing. I've played out a couple times now and have received numerous compliments on the sound and looks of the guitar.....Between the  striking bear claw top and beautiful Malaysian blackwood back, sides and fingerboard, it really is a remarkable instrument. Thanks and cheers to the luthier and the re-seller of this superb guitar! Regards, Harry Fager, Bradenton, FL

Hi Joe, Thanks for the fast delivery, the guitar was well packed and play so well out of the box. The action you've set is perfect and immediately I'm comfortable with it, appreciate for relocating the strap button to my favourite position. Really love this guitar, one of the rare ones that I've purchase in recent years Raymond Lim, Singapore
Hi Joe, After confirming my satisfaction with the 1951 Epipone Emperor Regent I bought from you just prior to your vacation, I want to add to your customer comments on what a buyer will experience doing business with you. I have been (and still am) waiting for a commissioned 19" archtop from a local luthier. That wait is now 10 years, so while I still hope to get it within my lifetime, I went searching for something else in the meantime and decided to have a gander at guitars that are older than I am (I'm 70 now). I knew about archtop.com but hadn't regularly checked in. I should have. Lo and behold, there was an unsold 1951 18-1/2" Epiphone Emperor Regent acoustic archtop that grabbed me by the throat. So you had my attention by your fantastic inventory. But we hadn't done business before, though your reputation preceded that, amply. It was your video call demo that both gave me confidence to proceed and convinced me of the compelling nature of this guitar. It was also clear that you were offering the instrument, rather than trying to sell it to me. With the confidence of a return policy I had to do it and in no way was I disappointed! On the contrary, in 57 years (as of 2024) of continuous guitar ownership, this Emperor is the single most engaging guitar I've encountered or owned. I have owned about 75 guitars in that period -- solid bodies, archtops, semi-hollows, flattops -- from premier makers and I've loved them all. A recent family illness made liquidating most of my former collection a wise precaution and a bit later I realized I could rebuild a smaller player-collection in a more limited way. Well, that worked out! I have a tighter, more compact cluster of comparably engaging instruments that spur me to play more than I've been able to in 20 years, and the magnificent, monster, Epiphone that I discovered at archtop.com, and that you guided me into, is at the top of the heap. If I had to, for any reason, go down to one guitar, this Epiphone would be it. Thank you for your time and attention, and everyone should know that you ship quickly, pack superbly, and that their buying experience from you will meet or exceed expectations. Superlative all around. And the guitar was exactly as described and previewed for me on our video call. Best, Phil Ressler, Woodland Hills, CA

Yes, thank you Joe. It arrived safe and sound and I really appreciate your customer service and responsive communication. The (ES-330) guitar looks to be in very good condition and the set-up is very playable for a 60 year old guitar! Have a great weekend. Gaetano Albani, W.Hartford, CT
Joe, I’ve been wanting to play a 1930s/‘40s 7-string acoustic archtop conversion (George Van Eps’s Epiphone) for years, and was immediately excited when I saw your ad for a guitar that’s so much closer to that than I could’ve imagined—aside, of course, from the recurring dream where George Van Eps gives me his Epiphone. I can also fly in that same dream. Thank you very much for working with me and allowing me to drive up to take a look at it before purchasing it!  All the best, Parker Spranza; Monterey, CA
Hello Joe, Thank you for selling my guitar through archtop.com. The amount of effort you must put into the presentation of the guitars seems exhausting, but it made for an effortless experience for me to have you sell my guitar. The details you provide for each instrument are impressive. I also appreciate the quick response whenever I had questions. These guitars are special and I will look first to archtop.com if I am buying or selling a guitar in the future. You have provided the archtop guitar community a great resource! Again, thank you! Butch Boles, Grapeview, WA
Folks…if you have a fine guitar you want to sell and receive top dollar for, then Joe is the man!   As a luthier I can trust Joe to do exactly that with any guitar I send him.  Joe knows the industry better than anyone and knows how to do it!   Go with Joe!!!, Ed Schaefer,  Schaefer Guitars LLC, Austin, Texas
This concerns my recent purchase of  a rare Victor Baker 18 inch archtop (VB #18).  I found the seller to be very accommodating to ensure a smooth transaction.  I would further note the guitar arrived well packaged ready to play. I would gladly repeat business with archtop.com. Joel, San Antonio, TX
Hey Joe, I have been playing the Borys nonstop since it arrived, truly amazing. For your friends page: Humbled by the amazing sound and quality of the Borys B-420 I bought from Joe.  I had the pleasure of visiting his showroom and playing many fine archtops that far exceeded my ability.  Overwhelmed by the selection and quality. Thanks again, Tim Samuelson, Anchorage, AK
I recently began my search for a pre-war Gibson archtop and, like many others, I arrived at Joe's gallery of wooden treasures. Throughout the long and arduous process --that involved searching for an apt model, ruminating about how to secure funds while maintaining good standing with the wife, etc.-- Joe was remarkably generous with his knowledge and with his time. I'm now the proud owner of (another) great guitar that will, with luck, be with me for several decades to come. Thanks for an amazing instrument and a great transaction!  Topher Starzyk, Kent, OH

I
had a great experience with Joe at archtop.com and would highly recommend him to anyone.  Since I live near the Seattle area, I was able to go to Joe's shop to try out the guitars he had on hand.  This, in itself, was such a wonderful experience because it is very difficult to find one quality acoustic archtop to actually play at a shop, but to have a dozen to choose from was beyond my expectations.  Joe was generous with his time and expertise and allowed my son and I to play through available instruments.  I ended up choosing a 1998 Andersen.  Given my experience, and given the quality and condition of the instrument, I feel that the price was quite reasonable.  Joe was helpful throughout the process but was also careful not to show specific bias towards a particular guitar.  After buying the guitar, I brought it back a couple of days later to have Joe further inspect it to ensure that there was nothing structurally unsound about the instrument.  Joe was great about accommodating my desire to have the guitar further inspected.  I will gladly reach out to archtop.com again if/when I see an instrument posted on the site that is of interest to me.  Thank you Joe!  I'm loving the guitar! -Mike Choman, Wenatchee, WA
One of my best experiences buying musical gear over the past few years has been with Joe Vinikow and archtop.com. I recently purchased a vintage guitar on his website and it has proved to be an amazing transaction. The guitar arrived well-packed, secure in its case, and upon opening the box, the guitar matched its description on the website to a “T”. It was beautifully set-up, something I don’t see very often, sounded great, and ultimately proved itself to be one of my favorite go-to instruments. It was a great deal, fair and beneficial to both the seller and the buyer. I recommend this web shop for your Archtop or semi-hollow needs, you just can’t go wrong with a guitar bought from archtop.com. And, bonus points, Joe’s a great guy and I made a new friend in the prcoess. You can’t beat that kind of service and product these days so please take advantage of it; you’ll be glad you did!" Happy New Year! Steve Portman, Philadelphia, PA
Buying an expensive archtop online can be a tricky proposition. Joe made the whole process easy. He described the guitar perfectly, gave an excellent virtual demo, and answered all my questions. Thanks Joe! Dave Mosick, Washington, DC

I am so glad I found archtop.com several years ago. I have purchased three guitars from Joe since then, and most recently sold my Comins Lyrist on archtop.com as I found myself playing it less than it deserved. Joe told me Comins was quite a popular builder in his area, and assured me I would have no trouble selling my instrument quickly at a good price. I was pleased to find Joe was absolutely correct as my guitar found a new home - with the funds sent - within 10 days of posting the guitar. I realize results may vary, but that was lightning fast. Joe is able to get your quality instruments the exposure needed for a satisfying experience. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase, or sell,  a fine instrument look to Joe at archtop.com. It is always a pleasure! Thanks again Joe! John Price, Lexington, KY
Hi Joe, Thanks for doing a great job setting up the page with all the photos and information on the ES-165.  And once again it was a quick sale.  I am sure the new owner is pleased with the purchase, and it went smoothly with very little effort on my part.  Archtop.com is a great way to sell fine instruments, highly recommended. Best, Steve Ogden, Seattle
Hi Joe, Well all I can say is wow!!  The guitar is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and the sound is as pure as any I've heard for a guitar so light.  I couldn't be more excited to own such a fine instrument.  I've got a smile from ear to ear as I sit here and play.  What a joy.  Many thanks, Scott Simmons, Edmonds, WA
Joe, I have lost count of how many guitars you have sold for me over the years, it has always gone well, exceeding my expectations.  After finally buying one from you my experience was every bit as good.  The guitar arrived safely, shipped quickly and packed well.  The condition is better than I expected. The Recording King sounds really nice acoustically.  I played a 2 1/2 hour gig with it last night...  Stay well Joe and thanks, Mark Anagnostopulos, Brattleboro, VT
Happy with my experience working with Joe to find my archtop a new home. The process was pain-free and he got a great price -- I would recommend working with Joe. Jeff Weintraub, Portland, OR
Joe, My Guild X-500 sold quicker than I anticipated. Who knew selling & buying high quality archtops could be so easy?  Frank Bifaro, Buffalo, NY
Hi Joe, Thanks again for making the sale of the Guild go so smoothly.  I have bought and sold guitars through archtop.com and every time, it’s been a positive experience.  Always a pleasure dealing with you. Best, Steve Ogden, Seattle

I have been working with Joe, both buying and selling jazz and other electric guitars, for probably 15 years.  Over that time, I have been able to experiment and find the instruments that I liked best, either at home or in the studio.  That's because Joe, first of all, has excellent instruments, and knows them.  And, second, if on e or another guitar didn't work for my personal preferences (in spite of being a good guitar, of course), he could always sell it.  (And I'd gotten it at a good price to begin with.)  As I'm getting older, I'm simplifying.  I'm glad to be working with Joe again, even though I'm selling some of my favorites.  They'll be taken care of properly, and they'll go to good homes.  And he'll always have another good one if and when I need it.Earl Weed, Houston, TX

oe was very responsive and took time to arrange a virtual meeting to demonstrate the Collings I-35. The guitar was in excellent condition and plays accurately and consistently, as all Collings have in my experience. The shipping was exact and as instructed to be delayed till I could be home to receive it. The original paperwork was included in the original case and he answered all of my questions in great detail! I will definitely talk to Joe next time I'm in the market for a quality guitar. Cheers, Kaveh Mojtahed, Carlsbad, CA

I appreciate your handling of the sale of my 1935 Gibson L-30. It did not take too long for it to be sold and at a good price. Your shop seems to handle a lot of nice guitars. Twelve or so years ago I bought a 1937 Gibson L-7 from you. A great guitar that I play regularly. Should I feel the urge to add to my small collection, I will try to find something from you website. I know it will be a good deal. Thanks, Charlie Rodewald, Las Vegas, NV
Doing business with you guys was a breeze. Much easier than selling my guitar privately. The pictures and the description on the website were detailed and accurate. I am glad you guys found my Gibson Howard Roberts a new loving home. If I need to sell another guitar I will definatley go to you. Thanks again for your help. Mike Eskanazi, Seattle

Thank you so much, Joe, for handling the sale of my Sobell cittern. Your written description of the instrument was terrific, and the instrument sold in a very short time. It's a genuine pleasure to do business with you. I appreciate the warm, friendly interaction. I look forward to future business with you and your staff and will happily recommend Archtop to anyone seeking to buy or sell fine instruments. Judy Wayenbergf, Gig Harbor, WA
I may have already said this but, just in case, I’m really pleased and impressed with your whole process.  You provide great service and I am absolutely certain I would not have been able to sell that guitar as quickly or gotten as much for it as you did.  Even better, I didn’t have to deal with the tire kickers or the whole shipping process.  Thanks for all you do! Cheers, John Owen, Seattle

I have now had the pleasure of doing business with Joe on two occasions. Both involved custom made orders for guitar parts , his service was friendly, helpful and prompt and the items arrived safely in the UK within the timescale indicated and I was delighted with them both. I would thoroughly recommend him and hope one day to spend even more money with him! Best wishes, Mark Senior, Liverpool, UK
I have bought & sold several guitars with archtop.com.  I have had no problems, the instruments were as described, and the treatment has always been professional.  The instruments that I sold have sold quickly.  Joe also helped me with some repairs on vintage parts that turned out very well. THX, Don Burgio, Scottsdale, AZ
Good morning Joe, As I mentioned in our call earlier this week, the CF-1 was delivered without incident and the instrument was in perfect condition. After setting it up, which was very easy considering the care in how it was packaged, it plays flawlessly and sounds great. I’ve been a long time observer of the website and this was my first purchase and I could not be more satisfied. You do great work and, as they say, I’ll be back. Best regards, Mike Bishop, Lakewood, OH
Joe is DA MAN when it comes to selling archtops! He made the shipping process clear and easy. Then my old Gibson lasted about 2 days on his website when it was sold. I highly recommend him if you are selling or buying archtops or other fine guitars! Don Cooke, Durango, CO
Hi, Joe.  Thanks for finding a new owner for my late husband's beloved Howard Roberts Gibson.  He always said that guitars "Need to be played" and I am so thankful that you helped it get to the right person who will take good care of it! Clarice Mattoon Lewiston, ID
Good Afternoon Joe, The L7 and L5 parts arrived about 2 hours ago. Everything is as it should be after a quick setup. Thanks for the set of strings as the ones on it are definitely finished. Sounds good acoustically and plugged in with a lot of punch and openness. Remarkable condition! The L5 parts are just what I need to finish that guitar. ...Then it's all finished and ready for lots of Wes Montgomery tunes. Thanks for another fine vintage guitar and great service! Cheers, Garry O'Brien, Edmonton, AB
Thanks for your usual greet job selling my ‘57’ES 175 - that’s the third guitar you’ve sold for me over the years. Thanks for your knowledge, and for being so user friendly during the consignment process. Ed Daingerfield, Mystic, CT
I have consigned many guitars with Joe and have always been treated so fairly and professionally. It was with pleasure that I finally purchased a guitar from him. A wonderful Kinal Mini Voyager. Joe took me through a video visit demonstrating the guitar with his fine playing. It was so helpful. I can’t put the guitar down! Thank you Joe for keeping the “ candle burning “ for these fine instruments and for all of your help and expertise to all of us who enjoy them! As you say … keep pickin'! Dennis Easter, Lebanon, PA

I was thinking about it, and unless I’m misremembering, this is the 7th (!) guitar you’ve sold for me: two Comins Concerts, two Gibsons (a Howard Roberts and an ES-335), two from Mark Lacey (the Argonaut and the Arch Nouveau) and the Linda Manzer Paradiso. Every time I’ve been totally confident that I was in the best of hands, and I’ve never been anything less than completely satisfied with the experience. Thanks again!, Terry Bessey, Reston, VA
I recently asked Joe to sell for me a guitar I had purchased from him not long before.  I loved it but, due to financial difficulties, had to sell; and I worried he might be put off.  He was not at all.  He was pleased to put it back on the market and get it a good home. Mike Sharkey, Wheaton, Il
Joe, Thanks for another great experience selling with archtop.com. You are a real asset for both the seller and the buyer. Your presentation pages are excellent - the pictures are great and the write-ups present each guitar with deep knowledge, honesty, and respect. I highly recommend your services to all. Eric Vogel, Gulf Breeze, FL
Hi Joe, As always it's a pleasure working with you.  It's comforting to know that we have someone like you, with all your knowledge and expertise of high end archtop guitars, that we can trust to sell our special instruments.  No worries, no hassles just ship it to you and it's done.  Your instructions on packing are excellent and easy to follow.  You're always spot on regarding the value of my instruments knowing what is fair to the seller and buyer.  It's a win win. Thanks again and take care, Steve Masui, Honolulu, HI

Dear Joe, I have been on both sides of transactions with you, selling two and buying one.  I am extremely pleased with all these interactions.  Your knowledge of guitars and the market make for a fair result for both the buyer and seller.  Not having to place ads, and box and mail was well worth your commission. Your descriptions of my instruments for sale made me want to buy them! I was lucky enough to be able to try out my Sadowsky in your studio.  Being able to sit there every day surrounded by all those beautiful instruments must be a little slice of heaven.  If I ever need to buy or sell again ( and I am always looking) you will be my first contact. Thanks again, Greg Fisher, Tacoma, WA
Thanks for reaching out.  I have to say I was impressed on how fast I received my ES 165.  This was my first time buying a guitar like this and I wouldn’t hesitate to use you again. Gary Smith, Merrimack, NH

Joe, The (consignment proceeds) arrived today.  Your prompt responses have been and are very professional.  Thank you for your expertise.  You are top notch, always outstanding! I hope all is well for you. Truly, Gary Stephen Mojica, Bakersfield, CA

Joe, The (Slaman) guitar arrived safely yesterday. It's a wonderful instrument and I'm very pleased with the purchase. Thank you so much. Happy New Year to you, Cameron Flint, Portland, OR
I am enjoying the new (Pat Metheny PM-200). It sounds and plays very well. Not to mention the natural maple, which looks fantastic. It's the finest instrument I've yet owned. Thanks again, Miles Smith, Mountain Viw, CA
Hey Joe I just want you to know that I have been buying & selling guitars for over 30 years and archtop.com is a Class Act.!!I've purchased 2 guitars from you in  the last year and love them both.Your communications description are right on.I would highly recommend you and I'm sure you will hear from me again. Tony Conte, Frankfort, DE
Hi Joe, You can mark me on your website as SOLD! And yes, "Oh man! What a guitar!".  You were correct about the acoustic voice. I would concur with adjectives like clear, articulate, and responsive, with exceptional intonation and definition. This last behavior is hard for me to define (hah), but I'll say that the manner in which every note in a chord seems to stand on equal footing, without clashing and bashing with its partners, should make this guitar an outstanding instrument to record, in multiple styles.... I am indebted to you for slapping the phosphor bronze on, since I would not have realized what a gem of an acoustic this is, and I intend to stick with these for the foreseeable future...Anyway, thanks for a very professional, efficient transaction. It was shocking how quickly this was processed. The sticky notes for bridge placement worked like a charm, and were much appreciated. Now it's time to slowly contemplate a pickup for this beautiful instrument. But I think I'll enjoy an unexpectedly delightful acoustic for now! Jon Pratt, Clarksburg, MD

archtop.com  handled my guitar consignments with great skill and care. Dealing with Joe Vinikow was great.  He replied very promptly to my questions and yet was very personable in the communications. I'm delighted to have found him and very impressed. George Flink, Tucson, AZ
Hey Joe! I wanted to thank you again for the great deal you gave me on the Howard Roberts Fusion. You were right, it is one sweet axe! I am proud to be caretaker of this fine guitar. She will be loved and played as long as I am around. Highest quality and arrived in perfect condition. I think I have found my forever instrument. If I ever need another addition I will call you. Plays like a dream. I am in heaven. Friends forever, Dave Victor, Rock Island, TN
Joe, A very sincere thanks for  selling a second guitar for me. Your honesty, integrity and knowledge have once again made this a very positive experience. I can't thank you enough! Peter Adams, New Jersey

Joe: I want to express my sincere appreciation for your efforts in securing the magnificent Guild/Benedetto Artist Award guitar that I have been wanting for years. It looks gorgeous, plays like a dream and sounds fabulous. And your dedicated, personal customer service made the entire process effortless. Best wishes for continued success. Charles Grable, Houston, TX
Joe, high praises to you for exceptional help selling my guitar. Your personal touch in responding to my questions helped me feel comfortable throughout the selling process. Please feel free to edit that as you wish to best suit your needs. Cheers, Latham Stack, Albany, OR

Thank-you Joe, for the kind words and for upholding your promise to me through each transaction we’ve conducted over the course of time . Thank-you for operating a superb business and providing the avenue of Archtop.com to bring musicians and enthusiasts together with fine archtop guitars. Jason Goff, Florida
They say Gibson guitars are like peanuts: You can’t just have one! But the difference is that you don't resell peanuts. You do sometimes  with guitars, and when this occurs, my advice is: « Call Joe! ». Once again, everything went right, my Super 400 found a new home within 2 weeks! That is why I have been buying and selling guitars with archtop.com for almost 15 years now. Thanks, Joe! Roland Goerg, Nyon, Switzerland
Joe, thanks as always for the two latest consignment sales that you did for me.  Thanks to archtop.com I’ve been able to try out a number of different guitars which is extremely helpful to me.  And the 2009 Trenier Broadway (walnut) that I bought from you in 2014 remains one of my favorites.  — Jim M. Hey Joe... Thanks for helping with the sale of my Artist Award. You did a great job photographing, describing, and pricing the guitar. I look forward to doing business with you again. Don't worry about the competition Joe.... there is none! Ken Kilpatrick, Rockville, MD.
I was nervous going into the selling process. What if I can't find a buyer? I've never shipped a guitar before, what if it breaks? Thanks to Joe and archtop.com, I didn't have to deal with any of the logistics and my guitar is safely in its new home. -Jack Radsliff, Portland, OR
Joe,  I... just unpacked it (the packing inside the sturdy cardboard box was amazing - the packing was so tight there was no way for the guitar to move about).  The guitar is in fine shape, I installed the bridge, tuned it and I just played a bit.  It is easy to play and surprisingly louder than I thought it would be.  There are nice overtones and great clarity of notes. So far, there are no surprises, and I don't anticipate any.  I am quite pleased and will definitely contact you to help sell my Guild Artist Award. Thanks again Joe. Sincerely,  Frank Lemonda, Babylon, NY
Thanks Joe! That's two beauties you found new homes for on my behalf this summer. There's nobody better at showcasing and selling vintage archtops. Best, Ira Smolkin, Victoria, BC

Joe, thanks so much for your help over the years.  I’ve gone through so many guitars in and out.  But I still have as a keeper the 2009 Trenier Broadway Walnut I bought through you back in 2014.  Likewise, I’m very sure the Collings Eastside LC Deluxe I bought through you recently is also a keeper.  It can be hard to find guitars that stick.  Thanks again for helping me sell a number of instruments.  You and your shop are first rate!  — Jim M. from Northern Virginia
Joe and the team at archtop recently handled the sale of a vintage Gibson L-4 N for me.  They took the guitar in, performed some minor repairs to get the guitar into optimum playing condition, and sold the guitar in a relatively short period of time at a good price for both me and the buyer.  I have also purchased 2 guitars through archtop.com, a Gibson and an Eastman, and am very happy with both purchases.  I highly recommend archtop and view them as an essential shop for both buying and selling fine guitars. Best regards, Michael Haberkorn, Putnam Valley, NY
In the span of a few months you helped me with three archtops.  I sold one through you, with that money in my jeans I bought one from you, then I sold another one through you.  The sales went very well, your presentation of my archtops was excellent.  The purchase has been a very good one.  I feel my dealings with you are win-win. Greg Buchanan, Boise , ID
Joe has been great to work with in selling my L-47. He responded quickly to emails, and the process is laid out in a very transparent and efficient way. Really quite pleased with the experience!  Dean Clemmer, Lancaster, PA
Joe, once again thanks for a seamless transaction in the sale of my Gibson Herb Ellis guitar. I would have expected similar proceeds... had I sold the guitar myself ,and yet you handled it all without the stress and worry of listing, packing and shipping the guitar. Your buyers know they're getting a fine instrument with archtop.com. Thanks, Jon Dalton, LA,CA
Hi Joe, I just wanted to let you know that I received the (L-4C) guitar... and I absolutely love it.  It sounds and feels great.  And I love the chunky neck...I'm not sure I've ever played a guitar that felt so good to play.  Thanks again for everything! John Dudarchik, Livingston MT

Selling my  55 D’Angelico New-Yorker after all those years was a big emotional decision. But Joe Vinikow made it a complete success, taking care of absolutely everything. I have been buying and selling guitars through archtop.com for over a decade now, and once again, the level of reliability, professionalism and commitment was exceptional. Joe, thank you, and BRAVO! Roland Goerg, Nyon/Switzerland
I have both bought and sold instruments through archtop.com and I have to say that I completely trust this dealer in all respects. Joe’s knowledge of “archtopiana” is beyond amazing. And his reliability and honesty gets an AAA+++ Henry Kaiser, Santa Cruz, CA
Joe, I wanted to congratulate and thank you for handling the Epiphone sale. Impressive bit of marketing! I only wish I had more archtops to put into your capable hands. Robert Atcher, White Rock, NM

Joe, I truly couldn’t be happier with my experience selling my Benedetto through archtop.com.  I worried over selling this guitar for several years, because an archtop takes quite a bit more care than your standard electric or acoustic, but Joe handled everything with no worries.   Thank you.  Thank you.  And thank you again..Clayton Adams, Jacksonville, FL
I was faced with the daunting task of liquidating a collection of high-end Gibson guitars. It was my good fortune to find archtop.com and to meet Joe Vinikow. The consignment process has been an absolute cakewalk, and what a relief for these instruments to find new homes. Joe got me great prices and his communication has always been timely and courteous. To get all this accomplished during the Covid era was a real Godsend. Thank you Joe for your great work. Kelly McLaughlin  Graham, WA
I’
ve relied on Joe to find new owners for a number of instruments over the years. His reliability , knowledge and advice are unmatched, as is the reach of the archtop.com website. I’ve never been disappointed - highly recommended. Thanks! Terry Bessey, Reston, VA

I recommend this shop unconditionally. Super friendly and accommodating with warm communication. They ship lightning fast. The guitar I ordered was fantastic. I will definitely shop here again. Daniel Wu, Redondo Beach, CA
Thanks again Joe! You’ve sold several guitars for me now ...Anyway, your service is tiptop! John Barton, Duarte, CA

Many thanks Joe. The guitar when it arrived after its long journey to  Australia was very carefully and thoughtfully packaged. Joe spent generously of his time while I was negotiating to buy the guitar. He did a live demo of the  guitar so that I could get an accurate appraisal of its voice  and when I finally played it I was not disappointed. Its magnificent. What you get from Joe is accuracy, no hyperbole, straight up professionalism and he is very accommodating  to help you get the instrument that you desire. Thank you Joe. Joseph Giozza, Melbourne, Australia
Joe,  Happy New Year!!  I hope 2022 is your best year yet! I was shocked/surprised - but happy - to find two checks in the mail today.  I didn't know the LeGrand had sold, and apparently for more than I expected.  Wonderful news!!   Many, many thanks for handling five guitars for me this past year.  You are my 'go to' on these things now and for all time. Happy New Year, my friend!!!   Bob Connolly, Chapel Hill, NC

For the past twelve years, I have been buying and selling guitars almost exclusively at « archtop.com ». From one trade to another, I have developed total confidence in Joe Vinikow. This time again, selling my ’50 Gibson L5 has been surprisingly quick, the presentation was terrific, And the price came up to all my expectations. I would simply not entrust one of my treasures to anybody else! You’re the best, Joe! -Roland Goerg, Nyon,Switzerland
Joe: I just want to thank you for the excellent job you did in selling my ’36 L-50. Your thoroughness in checking the instrument and preparing it for sale are greatly appreciated. Jeff Fereday, Boise, ID
Joe, The guitar arrived on Monday in great condition. I really appreciate the care you took to package it up properly for its journey to me...We all admired the craftmanship of the instrument before I plugged it into a Vox AC30. The TV Jones Ray Butts pickups paired well with the amp and the tone blended great with the acoustic instruments. All the way to 3 a.m. we shared tunes and songs ranging from the Stanley Brothers to Creedence and Johnny Cash to Mark Knopfler. It was a great way to introduce this wonderful instrument into my musical journey and its role as my primary guitar. I've been dreaming about having my own 6120 for a long time and I thank you and arcthtop.com for the great service and help in fulfilling this wish! Happy holidays, David Litrun, Traverse City, MI
Hi Joe, I want to thank you for your help in selecting the 2015 Stephen Holst I purchased from you in November. I absolutely love this guitar, but it is not something I would have chosen without your guidance. Your  customer service was great and now that I had a chance to do business with you, I really trust you and look forward to working with you again. Steve Watson, St. Albans, VT
I just purchased the 1946 Epiphone Broadway from you. It arrived safe and sound and very well packed. just wanted to let you know that I am extremely pleased with the instrument. I have owned many guitars over the years and I have to say I feel this guitar has something extra special and I am proud to be the new caretaker of this beautiful piece of history.  I look forward to making music with it and carrying it a little farther along in its journey. It will be treated with the upmost respect that it deserves. Thank you again for a smooth, fast worry free transaction and for helping to usher this instrument into my life. I look forward to doing business with you again in the future. Sincere regards, Derek Stroh, Monument, CO
Many thanks to Joe and and company at archtop.com from this old journeyman guitarist. I couldn’t gig during COVID so I looked into adding some old archtops to my collection. Not only did Joe help me with the genealogy of old Gibsons but along the way I learned by just reading his wonderful descriptions of Benedetto,Mortoro, and Epiphone instruments! Having bought several guitars from Joe at reasonable prices and now, having sold one with his help I can say with absolute confidence that there’s no one anywhere who does a better job of prepping and selling an instrument! I trust Joe ! Reed H Davis, Taylorsville Ky
J
oe, Thank you for being so understanding about the return. I really hated to return it as it is a very nice guitar.... Jeff Moore, Gallatin, TN
Joe, The new case for my '40 Blonde Epi DeLuxe arrived and it fits like a glove. Many thanks for recommending it as a replacement for the old, damaged case. And thanks for making the new owner of my '52 Triumph Regent a happy man. He sounds like he'll put some good mileage on a great guitar. As always, it has been a pleasure working with you and all the folks at archtop.com. Adios, David Everett, Austin, TX
Boy, have you had some nice guitars in the last few years, and I think you are responsible for the values on old Epis finally going up to a level equal to their quality... This due in large part to your terrific work with vintage Epis. You also have the hippest vintage archtop site on the web, I visit every day [often several times]. Happy Holidays, GregClayton, Dorval, Quebec PS: I should'a bought 'em ALL from you a few years ago.
Joe: I played my new (1945) Epiphone Spartan for several hours last night. It more than exceeds my expectations. My wife played it a bit too and she too was really impressed. It is most definitely a keeper. We both enjoyed embracing the vintage vibe of the guitar. It is just so cool looking. And the sound: it is round, full, and mellow, and not at all brittle. As a flattop player the challenge for me will be to learn some music appropriate for the guitar. Should be fun. Thanks again. Sincerely, Robert Forman, Gaithersburg, MD
Hi Joe, It's like falling in love all over again. The sound and the feel of the Vega (C-66) is really wonderful. So much so that it is really hard to put down when my family starts wondering where I have disappeared to. Absolutely no complaints. Thanks again for your time on the phone, sending me photos, etc. It is always a little unnerving dealing digitally, especially for this sort of purchase, but this has worked out well beyond my expectations. Thanks, Dave Cushman, Tualatin, OR

Wow! What an axe. I took it ('59 Epi Deluxe Cutaway) to my bench, slipped the bridge on and fell in love immediately. The intonation seems to be perfect and the action is as good as my Les Paul and ES347; light years beyong my Martin. In short I am a happy camper this week. Thanks for taking such good care of this great guitar and for having it to me promptly, without problems. I will be in touch as my wallet permits. I hope the holidays will be good for you and your family. Thank you again. Best regards, Jon Gary Branan, Macon, GA
Joe, ...My appreciation for all the time and care you have put into this transaction. The guitar is all I could ever dream for....I wanted you to know that I'm playing my new guitar every day and it feels so natural that it's like I've owned it all my life. It is truly all I imagined it would be and every day I look forward to coming home and practicing. I'll be recording with it over the holidays and I'll be excited to hear the results. Thanks again for everything, All the best, -Thomas Cray, Troy, Michigan
Joe-(The '55 ES-175) arrived safe and sound last delivery Friday-I have been playing all weekend. Its as smooth as a dream. Thanks, Casey Streich, Minneapolis, MN
Hello Joe,  The refund check arrived today and I want to thank you for your understanding. I appreciate the way you conduct your business! Sincerely, Joe Gibson, Lititz, PA
Joe, The ('48 Triumph) guitar arrived yesterday morning. I can't seem to put it down. This might become problematic--finals week are coming up soon!! Thanks for the picture and for your fine restoration work! Neil Mattson, Detroit, MI
Hi Joe, Thanks again for the ('47) L7, I love it. I spent all weekend whomping out melody chords on swing tunes and it has the sound! Now I just need to stay away from your web site for awhile, too much temptation. Bob Murphy, Mountain Home, AR
Joe, The '36 Spartan arrived Fri. Beautiful guitar! Not only is it great looking but the playability and tone is fantastic. The fret dressing/ action are smooth as silk - kudos to your shop techs on a great set up. Best of luck and much success in your endevours in finding, restoring, and making available these musical works of art. Take care. - Paul Mimlitsch, Southhampton, NJ PS: Thanks for your patience in answering my many questions on the phone - I'm new at this "acoustic" stuff :-).
Joe,"The ('53) Triumph (Regent) has Landed"....Having been blessed over the years with the privilege of knowing and befriending many musicians, I have been witness to many a '' fine box" from those in Mark O'Connor's extensive collection to the gems that Dave Sebring would show up from Gruhn's to jam on. I have a few rather new custom guitars but I am certainly no collector... This guitar is "me"! From timbre and volume to neck action and bout, I sincerely could not have picked a better instrument to suit me. To say that I am a "satisfied customer" would be an understatement. I will echo John Bass's and David Staples's endorsement of your instruments and service. I am certain that this instrument will carry my music to a new level. Sincerely, Paige Martin, Memphis, TN
Joe - A few months ago, on your recommendation, I purchased one of your Pick Up the World piezo pickups. I needed to amplify my '48 L-5C, my working axe for big band rhythm in the Freddie Green style. I'm running it through a Fishman pre-amp, right in to the band PA, and it sounds terrific. None of the acoustic "chunk" sound has been lost, and I have no amps to lug or mic feedback to deal with. Even in small gigs, run through my Crate 60, it sounds wonderful. Thanks--you've made a working musician's life much simpler. Scott Foster, San Diego
Joe, A quick note to let you know I rec'd the (1946) Epi Triumph - Beautiful! Been having fun playing it for a couple of weeks now and enjoying every minute of it. Thanks! Walt Kalwat, Farmington, CT
Dear Joe, It's with much pleasure and satisfaction that I write to say what a beautiful 1940 Gibson L-7N you sold me. This is my 2nd instrument purchased from archtop.com and, as with the first transaction, everything was professional and customer oriented. I'm in the retail business and I appreciate your attention to detail at all levels. As to the L-7N, I told you over the phone "it just sings"--a wonderful instrument. Thanks and I wish you much success in the future. Regards, Richard Young, Staunton, VA
Dear Joe, I just want to say how pleased I am with Archtop.com. You were able to sell my guitar ('53 L-7) in just weeks, getting me an excellent price. I would highly recommend you to anyone out there. I've been a musician for 38 years, and it's really nice to see people out there doing an honest top-notch job without any bull. Thanks so much, Dr. David Williams, Louisville, CO
Whether you are buying or selling an archtop, archtop.com should be your first stop. Joe Vinikow is a pro, a straight shooter, and a pleasure to deal with. Every aspect of my sale was handled superbly. Peter Wojnar, Tarrytown, NY
Dear Joe, Late yesterday afternoon the guitar (1953 ES-175) arrived. It is more than I could have dreamed of. It is beautiful and everything you said it would be and more.Words fail me completely in trying to say how much it means to me. As you said - it is pristine condition - and sounds stunning. Thank you so very much for everything and the case and excellent packing. I will keep in touch. Thanks again, Very Best Wishes, Roshan Bharucha, London
Joe, The Tal Farlow arrived on schedule...It's a beautiful, artistically crafted instrument and it sounds so good I had trouble putting it down to write this! I have owned and played many guitars, and I have never acquired one, new or used, set up this well. The intonation is perfect and the action is set lower than any guitar in my collection with no buzzing at all. I may have to raise it, because I'm just not used to being this spoiled! I am looking forward to playing this at a gig in a couple of nights. The rest of the band will be picking up their jaws when I walk in with this! Thanks from a happy customer. Mike Baumann, Dayton, OH
Dear Joe, The DeArmond arrived in great shape and is beautiful. Put it on this evening and wow, what a sound! This old L-7 is incredible, and the new pick-up really brings out the great tones. Can't wait to take the instrument in for a tune up to bring it back to top playing condition. Thanks for your help, Dr. Richard Bostock, UC Davis, Davis, CA
Joe, The local luthier delux just dropped off my L-7 with the replacement pickguard and Kent Armstrong suspended pickup and stealth controls that I purchased from you, and he customized a non-invasive tailpin mini-jack. Lovely, lovely, lovely. My non-computer literate luthier extended glowing compliments to you and your website for the quality goods that you make available to us across the country. Thanks for doing what you do. Nick Buschmann, Carmel, IN
Joe, Received the (Dell'Arte) guitar today. The condition is, as described, excellent. Thank you very much for your attention to detail, patience and prompt service. Outstanding! Joannie Wong, San Leandro, CA
Dear Joe: I want to thank you for your honesty on both the description and the sale of the '62 Gibson ES-335 that I bought from you. I have a collection of about 30 guitars and the guitar that I bought from you is one of the finest playing and sounding guitars in the bunch. I am so glad I stumbled across you on the Internet. Sincerely, John Zinsmeyer, Newport Beach, CA
Joe, Great news! I appreciate your speedy service (on selling my L-5). ...(Y)ou obviously know how to qualify your customers. Now that I know how well your service works I'll be sure to tell everyone I know in the music business. George Keller, Floyds Knobs, IN
Hi Joe,The (L5CES) guitar was finally delivered at lunchtime today and seems to have weathered the journey unscathed! It really is as good as your web site indicates and I couldn't be more pleased...it is sitting in my office at the moment and has collected a good number of admiring glances already. You know what they say about blondes! Thanks again - it has been a pleasure dealing with you, and as a result I have now got the guitar I have coveted for a long time, and am well pleased. All the very best. Ian Ashworth, Manchester, UK
I'm enjoying using the (1964) ES-125TC that I bought from you... The guitar was a way of giving me an incentive to get back to guitar playing, since I spend most of my time composing classical music these days. Obviously I'm pleased since I haven't really played much guitar for the last 8 years - anyway thanks again for supplying the instrument to me - I haven't put it down since I bought it. Kind Regards, Malcolm Lindsay, Glasgow, Scotland
The 1951 ES 350 arrived today safely. Opening the parcel was a great experience: the first look at the case ..... and inside the case: the wonder...... true vintage: hatknobs, two P 90's, old wooden bridge in the casepocket, small marks of wear, extremely well kept, beautiful. Setting it up.........placing the bridge.......tuning up...........playing favorite jazz..... connecting the guitar to amp.........the P 90's are working great........switch is allright..........intonation fine.........frets are fine (unbelievable that they are original). Joe, I promise you I'll take good care of the guitar and play it very much. I'm very satisfied and happy. My very best wishes for you and your wonderful business. I'll keep studying your wepsite and recommend it to my friends. Greetings, Peter Moevelt, Horslunde, Denmark
Joe, I had the most amazing experience. When the guitar ('68 Johnny Smith) arrived, I had to wait for the temperature to regulate before opening it, but when I saw it, I recognized it immediately. Then, when I played it, it brought a big smile to my face. You see, when I was 10 years old I took lessons from a guy named Jerry Simms at Dale Music in Silver Spring, MD. He played a guitar that I always admired. It had a certain tone and feel. Occasionally he'd let me play it. I was so young that I didn't take note of the brand but I remembered the feel and the tone, and the headstock. Well, this is it! I didn't know that he was playing a Johnny Smith until yesterday. The neck is the best I have ever felt - very playable, marvelous acoustic tone. I even like the neck better than (my other guitar) which I never thought that I would say. But, there's something else. The guitar has resonance. When you strum it,the sound vibrates to your body. I am a happy guy! Well, enjoy the holidays. You know what I will be doing. Peace, Vince McKnight, Silver Springs, MD
Joe, The guitar ('49 Emperor) arrived today. Wow. This is a dream to play and it has a great voice. Amazing that a D'Angelico Excel sells for 3x - 4x that this does. Regards and Happy Holidays, Marty Jacobvitz, Austin, TX
Joe, Thanks you so much for consigning my '46 Epiphone Broadway archtop. Your wonderful site, quality guitars, excellent photos, in depth descriptions and great response to my questions made me very comfortable. Keep up the great work, I'll pass the good word about you and refer people to your site. All the Best, Mark Stultz, Austin, TX
Joe, The Gretsch arrived in fine condition yesterday. Thank you for the excellent packaging job.The work you did on the pick guard, pick up and stealth controls is just superb! I think this guitar will serve me well in the Big Band setting. Thanks Again! Jeffrey Barnes, Oakland, CA
Joe, The 1969 Gibson Super 400 arrived on Monday in perfect condition. I must say I am really enthusiastic about this guitar - I can hardly stop playing it. It is a real beauty (as you described it on your web site) and it has a wonderful tone, mighty and warm - this is what Jazz sounds like!! It is exactly what I have been looking for. Many thanks to you for your information and the perfect service. I´ll be happy to recommend you to my friends. And I´ll have an eye on your web site. Best wishes, Gerhard Meindl, St. Polten, Austria
Joe, I would like to extend my appreciation for your consideration and service. Thank you! Your professionalism is outshone only by your integrity and good manners... I love the (1933) L-7! Please keep me in mind...I look forward to doing business with you again. Best regards, Chris Moyer, Novi, MI
Joe, I've owned my new guitar for about a week. I am very pleased and would encourage any others to purchase here at archtop.com. The guitar was every bit as good as described, and sounds wonderful. A great way to find and buy a vintage instrument. Thanks, Joe. Tom Schwenzer, Portland, OR
Joe, I'm happy with the (1967) L-7C, loving the playability, warm tone. The neck is just right. I moved to a lighter pick and touch. I can wrap my thumb for the bass of a 13th. It's showing me how to play. Can't wait to take her out. Bruce Cowan, Port Townsend, WA
I received the guitar on Monday. It arrived in good condition and exactly as described . I appreciate the detailed discription and the additional photos that you provided . As a vintage guitar dealer and collector, I am impressed with your service . The guitar really honks . Monday night, I showed it to a couple of local players. These guys are famous, full time players and were impressed with this axe. Thanks! Jim Wood, Nashville, TN
The (Armstong PAF) pickup arrived here on friday. I put the pickup on my Sweet 16 that night and stayed up and played for a few hours and loved it! I played a gig from 5 to 8 tonight and another one from 8:30 to 10:30 at a different place and the guitar sounded so much better than before. It has more output, the strings are more balanced and even, and it is noise free. I really am glad I went for this model. Thank you very much for getting it to me so prompt. Iwant to stay up tonight and play it, but I will wait and give it a few hours tomorrow. Once again, Thanks a lot. Take care, Delbert Walling, Coldwater, MI
The guitar (1935 Triumph) has an amazing tone and my father loves the feel of the neck. The gift (to Dad) was a fantastic success. Thank you very much for your help and prompt service. I will be sure to recommend you to my musical friends. Keith Michel, Towson, MD
The guitar ('45 Triumph) arrived today and I have barely put it down. I went to a rehearsal with a University big band, and I had to hold back because the guitar was so loud. What a remarkable sounding instrument - I'm sold. Thanks for working with me. John Bass, Memphis, TN
The Gibson L10 arrived at my office, safe and sound. It's a beautiful instrument! Thanks so much for offering it and for making its acquisition such a pleasant process. I'll keep my eye on your web site... Who knows? I may once again get the urge to own another fine instrument. Best regards, Zoran Dragutinovitch, Chicago, IL
The L-7 arrived this evening safe and sound, and right on schedule. Simply put: It is magnificent! I don't know what to say, except THANK YOU! It is so beautiful. The action, intonation, set-up, frets, pickguard and pickup are all beautifully done. I love the neck, it plays like a dream. Very 50's, round and substantial, but oh, so comfortable. Beautiful, dark, amber-blonde finish, and sound! Acoustically deep, rich and LOUD! It sounds incredibly warm and fat and clear through my amp, too. You guys are the greatest! The guitar and your friendly, informative, helpful service surpassed my expectations. Thanks for the beautiful instrument, I will treasure it, and take good care of it, but most of all I'll PLAY it! Larry Camp, St. Petersburg, FL
The guitar (1952 Epi Devon) arrived yesterday in perfect condition. It's really beautiful and sounds very good: after a couple of hours I was playing it at the big band rehearsal!! I've been also playing some of Eddie Lang's and Carl Kress' of my solo repertoire and this is the sound I was looking for!!! It's incredible how good (is the) condition after almost 50 years, especially about the neck and fingerboard: the guitar it's easy and comfortable to play even with those hard strings. So thank you very much for everything. Let me know any interesting news as I'll do. Marco Parodi, Torino, Italy
The custom bound pickguard you made for my Gibson L-10 looks beautiful. What fine workmanship - thanks so much. I'm half tempted to ship my 2 archtops out for setups rather than take my chances here in the mountains of Appalachia! Tim Slaven, Staffordsville, VA (A few months later, he did just that. Thanks, Tim! -jv)
The Deluxe arrived Thursday afternoon... It is beautiful in every way. -- after playing electrics and even Johnny Smith all these years this thing is a revelation. So light, so loud ... I have played "April Kisses" over and over since the guitar arrived and it never sounded like this on my JS, in fact it seems to play differently, almost like the guitar knows how it should go. Thanks, and regards, Jeff Williams, Taipei, Taiwan
The Epi Deluxe arrived on 15 Nov. and last night I play this my new guitar at small party. I am crazy about the Epi. This guitar sounds very similar to Teddy Bunn's. Thank you very much. Tomotaka JIRO Matsui, Osaka JAPAN
Thank You. Got the guitar (1964 Gibson L-50) Friday afternoon. It's everything you said and more! I tried steel strings on it Saturday and went immediately back to the bronze. You had it set up just right. Many Thanks, Clint Oakley, Miami, Fl
I'm really pleased with your help and knowledge. I couldn't be more satisfied. And thanks again for your extra effort to get it (1944 Triumph) boxed up for my trip home. I'll send people your way whenever I can. Use me as a reference anytime. Regards, Jim Hennings, San Clemente, CA
My new guitar (1935 Broadway) is stunning...I haven't put it down all weekend. Thanks so much for finding it and selling it to me. The sound is completely unique...great thumping rhythm, clear as a bell single notes all over the fretboard. Plus it's lovely to look at. Take care, Doug McKenna, Seattle
I'm writing to say how much I'm enjoying the 1940 Epiphone Triumph I recently purchased from you. The rich woody tone and great volume are amazing! The set up work and polishing you did was a nice added touch and the price was fair. I'm looking forward to many years of playing this fine guitar. Best wishes, Dean Nissen, Seattle
Thank you for the beautiful 1933 Gibson L7. It's a real pleasure to play... (It) is wonderfully playable... the bright, clear sound and small body size makes it a great instrument for study of Eddie Lang's work. Your workmanship on the pickguard assembly is phenomenal - ingenious assembly, unbelievably perfect placement, and perfect ratio of hardness to flexibility in the pickguard material. The care you take with these sort of details really brings the instrument to life, and is so important, yet rarely encountered these days. Josh Gordon, NYC
Thank You. Got the guitar (1964 Gibson carved-top) Friday afternoon. It's everything you said and more! I tried steel strings on it Saturday and went immediately back to the bronze. You had it set up just right. Many Thanks, Clint Oakley, Miami, Fl
I received the "Broadway". I'm thrilled! This guitar is 100% in better condition than the local guitar I had been lusting after. The sound is wonderful and the children at school where thrilled with the first" music circle" we had with the new old guitar. Thanks "Mr Richard" Leavitt, San Mateo, CA
Thanks for sending the (DeArmond) pick-up so fast. It sounds great, very warm and vintage sounding. Thanks again, Ben Tyzack, London, England

Petersburg, FL
highly recommend Joe and archtop.com. I've now sold 3 instruments through him over the years and it's always a great experience. The whole process was much easier than listing guitars on my own and the pricing and marketing reach he gets are great. If you are looking to sell archtops don't hesitate to email Joe at archtop.com. Mike K, Urbana, IL
.Joe, I recently sent you my Steve Andersen Vanguard model to list. I didn't even get to see it on the for sale list because you sold it so fast !!  Thanks for such a great job finding it a new home. Jerry Shipley, Dallas, TX
Thanks for the quick turnaround on the sale of the Heritage Johnny Smith.  Probably the most articulate guitar that I ever played.  Of course I bought it from you in the first place.  As always, another trustworthy professional transaction.  Till next time, Mike Pausic, Summerville, SC
Hello Joe, I received the Heritage Johnny Smith. I was looking for one in the best condition possible, for a long time. This one is a keeper. Outstanding blond flame maple through out. A carved top that sings! A lot of music shops and sellers should take online lessons from you on how to properly pack an archtop for shipping…..a lot of Care and Love with respect to the Luthier’s Craft. Best Regards, Ron
Yamashita, El Sobrante, CA
Just wanted you to know that the Broadway Elitist I bought arrived last Sat about 3 pm. It was in perfect condition as was the case. You pack a mean guitar. It is up and a running and gleaming like gold jewelry. You were not exaggerating when you said it was like show room new. The sounds are very clean and vary from growl to whisper. You guy’s run a first class operation and I am a very happy customer. Thanks again, Roger Scott, Marana, AZ
Joe, Thank you for being so understanding about the return.

Joe, Just wanted to pass along a BIG THANK YOU for your excellent help and attention in getting me the Guild X-170 Guitar.   The shipment arrived in PERFECT shape and after getting the bridge under the strings and tuning it, I couldn’t put it down… extremely versatile instrument with a ton of tone and color …. And…. It didn’t feedback with my Victoria 15” 35W tube amp….. BRAVO.  The guitar is materially better than described and photographed and is literally a 30 year old time capsule  !!!!! Now for the next one …. Best regards, Roger De Berardine, Weston, CT
Joe (and Julie) at archrop.com are great!   Every instrument he has ever sold for me over the last 13 years has been a very fair and informative process.    He runs a really pro operation there to say for sure.    Trust him fully with my guitar. Best Regards, Jonathan Parker, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
I put my beloved Sakashta Guitar on consignment with archtop.com, and Joe was a pleasure to work with. Joe is very knowledgeable on these types of high end instruments, the industry standard for finding high end archtop guitars. ... Highly recommended. -Caio Villela, Setubal, Portugal
I had never purchased a guitar online before, and to say I was reluctant would be an understatement. Joe and the staff at Archtop.com made the process absolutely seamless, friendly, and professional. The 2011 Hopkins Marquis arrived on time and in the exact condition that had been described. I was so happy with the process, (and the guir) that I am considering buying yet another guitar from them as I continue to upgrade my collection. André Bergeron, Minneapolis, MN
archtop.com has some great guitars. In fact in the past 10 years, I've been able to find vintage guitars that I just couldn't find anywhere else. The first guitar was a 7 string Foster built by Jimmy Foster. I had the privilege to meet Jimmy when I was studying jazz in New Orleans. To find one of his guitars built years ago in mint condition was amazing. I'm grateful for Joe and his crew in making that possible and making that shipment safe.  The second guitar I just bought was a 6 string Sadowsky. It's an archtop in mint condition. Again, the shipping was so important. Joe and his crew carefully and safely packaged the guitar in its original case, and to avoid porch pirates, we were able to agree upon a UPS store where I could pick the guitar after it arrived and after I got off work. When I got home and started playing it, I was amazed at the tone and quality of the Sadowsky. Since the archtop arrived, I've had a couple of gigs as a trio and then a rehearsal with the big band. This guitar can handle anything. No feedback in a basement with 10 horn players, a full drum kit, keys, and a bassist!! And in the trio, I could adjust the tone control and amp and get a beautiful round tone, inside or outside. This guitar sounds great and it feels great. One other thing about the feel was the black tape strings. I didn't know what kind of strings these were or what gauge. I sent an email to Joe about 2 weeks after the archtop arrived. I think I would be ignored, but I was sent an email and got a response within a business day. I can't express my gratitude enough. This guitar was shipped by great enthusiasts that care about their inventory and their customers. I'm so thankful to Joe Vinikow, Thomas Kitchen, MAT, Washington, DC

Joe, the Epiphone arrived today, safe and sound. Set it up and played it a bit, changed strings and played some more- what a superior instrument!  Seems to have more midrange than the ‘49 Triumph I got from you many years ago- I’m sure there some construction differences. Tremendous “bark” and projection… Anyway, can’t wait to try it with our little group this weekend; thank you so much for ANOTHER great guitar! Best regards, Marc McCord, Jamestown, TN

Hey Joe, Yes! :-) The guitar arrived last week...(and) yesterday I had a first rehearsel and I really enjoyed the Eastside. It is a great guitar, light, very responsive with a distinct acoutic quality and it plays effortlessly! Thank you for an inspiring instrument and a nice way of doing business! All the best!, Jan Demeester, Ghent, Belgium

Joe, I've been dealing with Archtop.Com, believe it or not, for 29 years. Beginning with a 1946 Epiphone Deluxe purchased at a price that would sound ridiculous today.  You've always priced your listing with in their fair market price range & always provided an accurate description (along with a fair return policy). There's also the extra bonus of finding those rare gems rarely found elsewhere, on Joe's website. I can recommend archtop.com & Joe ( a true gentleman) without any hesitation as reputable & knowledgeable .Thanks, Don Nielsen, Bullhead City, AZ
Yeah, the (Broadway) guitar is great...It is so awesome that I stayed up way too late playing the guitar Tuesday, then packed in the middle of the night, then overslept and almost missed my flight on Wednesday morning... Adam Bartlett, Anchorage AK
Hi Jee, I was pleasantly surprised at how low the action (on the Artist Award)was.  I have had more than 200 guitars over the years and I have always had to set them up myself.  This one was very well set up. Charles Calderazzo, Pleasany Mount, PA
. Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for selling my 1936 L50 recently, Joe. The process was smooth  throughout, professional, easy and amazingly fast. Have now both bought and sold through archtop.com and could not be more pleased with the experience. Stephen Meuse, Watertown, MA

The guitar (Gibson Chet Atkins) arrived safe and sound. I played it and its sounds and looks great. I really want to thank you for working with me on this transaction and making it happen. I sincerely appreciate that. Take care and hopefully we can do business again. All the Best, Rick Doeschler, Jacksonville, FL
Joe, I didn't know a guitar (Epi Devon) could play like this.  I'm now used to the '50's frets.  And your setup makes the '13's feel like '10's.  I'm a convert to the acoustic archtop. Thanks. Mike Sharkey, Wheaton, IL
hanks Joe for the quick sale of my Epi at full price. I think this is at least number 3 or 4 over the years. Clearly you are the best in this market. Chip DuMont, Tucson, AZ
Joe:  I got the guitar.  It's in fantastic shape, like it's brand new.  Every guitar (3) I've purchased from archtop.com has been just wonderful.  Thank you so much. You're the best. Tom McLachlen, Rockville, MD
I've conducted a number of happy, streamlined transactions with Joe and archtop.com since '04; including buying, selling, pickguard restoration, and repairs. Most recently, Joe brokered trouble-free sales of two of my instruments within weeks of posting. I may be due for a purchase next time. Thanks Joe! L.T. Myers, Los Angeles, CA
...You’re the best in the biz. I can see why. Michael Grappo, Needham, MA

My experience with archtop.com was great from start to finish.  Joe is knowledgeable, personable, and very easy to work with.  I received help with shipping, pricing information, fast responses to messages, and my instrument was sold quickly.  I would happily use archtop.com again to buy or sell an instrument.  I have complete confidence in the service Joe and his staff provide.  Thank you! Take care, Nate Baker, Spooner, WI
Dealing with Joe has been great time and time again...I have bought three high end archtops from Joe. And sold four, separately. He is a one stop shop, solid business and communications always. Dave Dragani, Boston, MA
In the span of a few months you helped me with three archtops.  I sold one through you, with that money in my jeans I bought one from you, then I sold another one through you.  The sales went very well, your presentation of my archtops was excellent.  The purchase has been a very good one.  I feel my dealings with you are win-win.
