Finish: amber blonde finish, nitrocellulose type

Body size at lower bout: 16 3/4". Scale length: 25" Nut Width: 1 3/4" Depth: 3"

Materials: Solid handcarved bookmatched X-braced spruce top; solid handcarved bookmatched figured flame maple back, sides and neck; solid ebony fingerboard; rosewood bound body and f-holes.

Hardware: DeVoe adjustable compensated ebony bridge; solid handcarved ebony tailpiece; gold sealed Schaller tuners; ebony pickguard with Armstrong Handmade Floating PAF humbucking pickup with thumbwheel controls mounted under pickguard.

Notes: Tom DeVoe's hand crafted guitars combine a flair for dramatic tonewoods with a propensity for ingenious and compelling design, from his distinctive hex-key adjustable bridge and floating pickguard support, to the extra deep Florentine cutaway. Built entirely by hand, and individually tap tuned, no more than ten Devoe guitars were produced in any year, and they are rarely seen on the vintage market.

The guitar is constructed of figured maple that is simply stupefying in intensity, with a rarely seen grain that combines both deep tiger flame and extravagantly quilted figure. Bound in solid rosewood, the extended Florentine cutaway body offers clear access to the entire range of the fretboard, and the neck profile is a gentle arc that nestles smoothly in the hand. The voice is clear and open, and at just 5lb 11oz. the instrument is notably light in weight. The Armstrong Handmade Floating PAF humbucking pickup provides flawless response, and the stealth thumbwheels offer unobtrusive control of volume and tone. This example has been well maintained with all original finish and hardware, showing no pick, thumb, buckle or fingerboard wear. A pair of hairline cracks have been soundly resealed on either side of the tailpiece, along with another extending from the treble soundhole to the rim.

A breathtaking creation at an unbeatable price. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black fitted plush lined arched hardshell case.
