Hardware: All original gold hardware includes Gibson '57 Classic PAF humbucking pickups and electronics, Kluson Deluxe single ring tulip key tuners, trapeze tailpiece with raised-parallelogram crossbar; compensated Tuneomatic bridge; black bonnet knobs; 3 way control switch, 5-ply wide bevel pickguard. 5-ply soundhole plugs, gold strap locks.

Notes: Since its introduction in 1949, the Gibson ES-175 has been the most popular jazz guitar in the world. Originally fitted with a single P-90 pickup, the 175 added a second pickup by 1951, and humbuckers by 1957. The mahogany neck is a feature of the classic models of the 50's and 60's , and produces an instrument that is distinctly lighter in weight, and notably better balanced.

This guitar is a rare upgrade example of the model, fitted with factory gold hardware, in place of the nickel trim usually seen on the model. In addition, the body is crafted of extravagantly flamed tiger maple in the top, back and sides, finished in a classic dark vintage Cremona sunburst, which highlights the tiger flame figure to great advantage.

Maintained in excellent condition, the instrument is free of pick, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, and is fitted with a 50's style 5-ply wide bevel pickguard. With immaculate medium jumbo frets, the fingerboard is utterly effortless to play. The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the '57 Classic PAF humbuckers are rich and warm, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback.

A special plus: the guitar is supplied with a pair of custom-fit 5-ply soundhole plugs, and a set of gold strap locks. A spectacular version of the best loved jazz box of all time. One only: call now.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as needed; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel ground wound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black plush lined Gibson logo hardshell case.
