Notes: He wrote the book on archtop guitar building. Literally. The most influential jazz guitar builder of the late 20th century, Bob Benedetto virtually single-handedly jump-started the contemporary revival of fine handbuilt archtop guitars, and his client roster is an A-list of the topmost echelon of jazz guitar talent.

The Bambino Elite is Bob's flagship offering in Benedetto's highly popular series of compact, lightweight performing guitars. The Elite series features a quartersawn solid carved spruce soundboard with twin soundholes, and an intensely figured tiger maple back, sides and neck, with solid figured maple binding. Solid ebony hardware includes fingerrest, tailpiece, bridge and truss rod cover. Featuring a particularly comfy 14 1/2" body, the Bambino Elite delivers big guitar performance in a compact package that's as delightful under the arm as it is in a gig bag.

Parallel braced for maximum clarity, the tap tuned soundboard offers a brilliant acoustic voice, faithfully amplified by Benedetto's own B-6 humbucking pickup. With master volume and tone controls, the Deluxe includes a push-pull tone pot that switches the pickup from humbucking to single coil operation for maximum verstility. The slim, elegant D profile neck sits smoothly in the palm, with a comfy 12" radius solid ebony fingerboard with the classic 25" Johnny Smith scale.

This stunning example has particularly intense tiger flame throughout, and at just 4lb 13oz, is phenomenally light in weight, and superbly balanced. Impeccably maintained, the guitar is 100% original, and in virtually unplayed condition, complete with its original owner's manual and top-line Cedar Creek hardshell case. Hand signed by the maker, the Bambino Elite is a master quality instrument, from the contemporary standard bearer in premium professional jazz guitars.

This model is virtually unseen on the vintage market: owners are keepers. A rare opportunity: one only, call now.

Case: Original Benedetto Cedar Creek black deluxe arched plush lined hardshell case.
