Notes: Award winning luthier, teacher, writer and performer, Santa Cruz based Kenny Hill is the Renaissance Man of the classical guitar. Since the mid 1970's, Hill has built a reputation as one of the most respected and innovative builders of the nylon string instrument, and his players span an eclectic cross section of styles, from Earl Klugh and David Lindley to Struntz and Farah and the late Aaron Shearer.

His Crossover is a hybrid design, equally at home with bossa, classical, and fingerstyle jazz. The graceful Venetian cutaway allows superior access to upper fretboard, and the ultra-lightweight body (just 3lb. 2oz!) is notably well balanced. This instrument was hand built by Kenny in his California shop, and features a spectacular curly maple body and an exceptionally fine grained bookmatched spruce soundboard generously interleaved with cross-grain silk.

The voice is clear and even across the range, with impressive depth and resonance. The instrument has been well maintained, without buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear in the feather-light French polish finish, and showing only a few scattered nicks here and there on the top.

This rare seven string Crossover extends the range for enhanced chord melody or bossa play in all the flat keys as well. A very scarce appearance indeed on the vintage market, this gorgeous guitar offers unrivaled versatility for fingerstyle players of all persuasions. One only: call now.

Case: Original deluxe black arched plush hardshell case.
