Notes: A full depth Venetian cutaway guitar in the tradition of the D'Angelico Excel, the Trenier Magnolia 17 is carved of exceptional tiger flame maple, with a hand-graduated bookmatched fine grained European spruce top. The cello-grade flamed maple back is masterfully bookmatched with tight curl throughout. With it's finely carved X braced top, the Magnolia is a true acoustic archtop, versatile and easy to hold. The neck profile is gently rounded and easy in the hand, with nicely crowned medium frets over a fingerboard of solid black ebony.

All handmade, the Magnolia includes premium features like curly maple body binding, Armstrong Handmade PAF pickup, and solid ebony hardware. The Magnolia is usually built as an 18" model. This one however, was custom ordered in a 17" size, and sports a classic art-deco peghead inlay of pearl and curly maple. The voice is lively and finely balanced throughout the scale, with exceptional projection and brilliance.

Treniers are rarely seen on the vintage market, as their owners seldom part with them. This guitar is in virtually unplayed condition, and represents a rare opportunity to both jump the wait list, and to acquire this hand built classic at a substantial discount. One only: call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge bronze groundwound strings (.013-.056). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe black arched plush lined hardshell case.
