Serial #: SP12117415 Body size at lower bout: 14" Scale length: 25 1/2" Nut width: 2" Body depth: 2" Neck depth, 1st/12th frets: .86/.97

Materials: Master grade tonewoods include solid tiger flame maple top; solid hollowed figured swamp ash body; solid mahogany neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard, bridge and headstock facing; solid bone nut; pearl script logo.

Hardware: Barbera Soloist active pickup saddle with thumbwheel volume and tone controls, 9V battery well and 1/4" jack; black anodized Gotoh classical tuners with ebony keys; adjustable truss rod.

Notes: John Buscarino is one of the names you'll hear on virtually every short list of the premier contemporary archtop builders. Having worked closely with luthiery legend Bob Benedetto for a number of years, John also studied with the great Augie LoPrizi of classical and flat top fame. His artist list includes George Benson, Russell Malone, Ron Affif, Gene Bertoncini and many more, all keeping Buscarino's handmade instruments in considerable demand.

The Starlight is John's evolution of the crossover nylon electric, and is crafted with all solid tonewoods, highlighting a simply breathtaking lattice braced tiger flame maple top, a substantial upcharge. Fully hollow in construction, the figured swamp ash body produces enough acoustic resonance for practicing or teaching unplugged altogether. This spectacular example also features figured Macassar ebony in the fingerboard, bridge, and headstock facing.

At just 4lb 12oz, the guitar is notably light in weight, and the 2" slim depth 14" body makes for an instrument of exceptional comfort, in the lap or on the strap. The deftly tapered neck heel makes for easy access to the uppermost fingerboard, and the gentle D profile neck has smooth low action over a fresh high precision setup. The Barbera Soloist active pickup offers clear, finely articulated harmonics, with notably even response across the entire frequency range.

This eye-popping instrument is in 100% original condition, and appears virtually unplayed. A true rarity on the vintage market, the Starlight is an exceptionally versatile choice for the fingerstyle jazz, bossa or classical player. One only, call now.

Case: Ultra premium Harvest heavy duty brown leather gig bag.
