Notes: Luthier Steven Holst has been making fine handcrafted instruments one at a time for over three decades at his shop in Oregon's Willamette Valley, just south of Eugene. With a production of perhaps eight to ten instruments a year, Holst's guitars are not easy to come by, and offer outstanding value and performance.

This custom archtop features a compact, comfy 14 1/2" slimline body with a deep Florentine cutaway, for maximum access to the uppermost frets. The solid carved tonewoods in the body provide superior acoustic resonance, as well as featherlight construction: at a mere 5lb. 3oz. the instrument simply floats on the lap or the strap.

With a gentle D neck profile and a solid ebony fingerboard, the action is smooth and low over a fresh high-precision setup. Sound ports in the upper body and side act as monitors under the ear for the bright acoustic voice. The Seymour Duncan Seth Lover humbuckers are handwound with vintage style Alnico II magnets for a warm, classic voice with excellent clarity and detail.

100% original, the guitar is in gleaming condition, and apart from a tiny finish check at the nut, appears virtually unplayed. Holst guitars are rarely seen on the vintage market, and new orders can entail a substantial wait. A versatile choice for a variety of styles, this handsome instrument delivers peerless comfort, tone and versatility. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe arched plush lined hardshell case
