Notes: Luthier Steven Holst has been making fine handcrafted instruments one at a time for over three decades at his shop in Oregon's Willamette Valley, just south of Eugene. With a production of perhaps eight to ten instruments a year, Holst's guitars are not easy to come by, and offer outstanding value and performance.

This custom archtop is built in the style of the classic Gibson ES-350T, with a compact, comfy 16" slimline body with a deep Florentine cutaway, for maximum access to the uppermost frets. The laminate design provides superior sustain and feedback resistance, and at a mere 6lb. 5oz. the instrument is nimbly balanced on the lap or the strap.

The generous 1 7/8" nut is ideal for the fingerstyle or classical player, with a gentle D neck profile and a solid ebony fingerboard. The Bare Knuckle Stormy Monday humbuckers are handwound with coil potted Alnico II magnets, to reproduce the tone of the brighter '57 and '58 vintage Gibson PAF classics.

100% original, the guitar is in showroom condition, with smooth low action over a fresh high-precision setup, and striking tiger maple binding throughout. Holst guitars are rarely seen on the vintage market, and new orders can entail a substantial wait.

A versatile choice for a variety of styles, this handsome instrument delivers peerless comfort, tone and versatility, at an unbeatable price for true US luthier built craftsmanship. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original deluxe arched plush lined hardshell case.
