The L-5 Doublecut marks the most significant innovation in body design for this venerable model in over half a century. With the additional cutaway in the upper bass bout, the instrument also offers a slimmed body that reduces side depth by a full inch, for enhanced player comfort. Produced in very limited numbers, this scarce example is in 100% original showroom condition, with an intensely flamed maple back, sides and neck, and a solid carved fine-grained spruce soundboard. Neck is a classic gentle D profile, elegant and comfy, with a fingerboard of solid ebony. Tone is warm, rich and sweet, as befits an instrument of its distinguished pedigree.

This innovative model is a unique prize for the player and collector alike. This pristine example is dead mint, and comes complete with its original plush hardshell case and original paperwork including the Crimson Certificate of Authenticity. Catch this rare bird while you can: one only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with .012 nickel roundwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black deluxe arched Gibson logo plush hardshell case, with Certificate of Authenticity.
