Body size at lower bout: 16". Scale length: 24 3/4" Nut Width: 1 11/16" Neck depth, 1st/10th frets: .74/.89

Materials: Solid maple neck; solid rosewood fingerboard; arched slab-cut figured maple top, sides and back; dual-parallelogram mother of pearl fingerboard inlay and thistle peghead inlay; triple bound top, bound back and neck.

Hardware: All original hardware includes Gibson Pat. # humbucking pickups, Gibson Deluxe tulip key tuners, triple parallelogram trapeze tailpiece, beveled 5-ply pickguard, compensated adjustable Tuneomatic bridge, 3 way pickup selector switch, black bonnet volume and tone knobs.

Notes: Since its introduction in 1949, the Gibson ES-175 has been the most popular jazz guitar in the world. The twin pickup model debuted in 1951, and the 175 was Gibson's first guitar to be fitted with the humbucking pickup in 1957. A true classic, the ES-175 remained in the Gibson catalog continuously for almost seven decades, until it was unexpectedly discontinued in 2019.

Carefully maintained, this handsome guitar has all original hardware, electronics and finish, and is notably free of pick, thumb, or fingerboard wear. The top and back show fine slab cut figure in the arched maple, as well as a rare solid maple neck like an L-5, in place of the more common mahogany necks more typical of the model.

The 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. With smooth low action over fine original medium fretwork, and a fresh high precision setup, the guitar plays effortlessly with a notably slim, elegant neck profile. The gleaming deep Cremona sunburst finish shows a bit of scattered spider checking consistent with its age, and only a few incidental nicks here and there.

Complete with its original Gibson logo plush lined hardshell case, this striking guitar is ready for another turn on the bandstand, or the jam session. Gibson's all time favorite gig guitar, and they're not making any more of them, sad to say. One only, call now.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel flatwound strings. The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 4/64" to 5/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.
