Factory correct recent bound tortoise pickguard.

Notes: Introduced in 1978, the Ibanez George Benson GB-10 model was the first artist model in the company's history, and remains the longest running as well. Designed to the detailed specifications of Benson himself, the GB-10 was a breakthrough design for the modern player. The narrower, slimmer profile hugs the body closer than traditional big boxes, and the thicker laminated top significantly increased feedback resistance for performance at increased volume levels. Deluxe features include the tension-adjustable tailpiece, bound f-holes, inlaid ebony bridge, and twin GB special floating pickups. Small wonder the GB-10 has remained one of the world's most popular and versatile jazz guitars to this day.

This guitar is from the very first model year, and shows outstanding birdseye figure in the arched maoe back. Kept in outstanding condition, the guitar shows no pick, buckle or thumb or fingerboard wear. A genuine Japanese made model, the instrument appears virtually unplayed. Smooth low action with fine original medium jumbo frets over a gentle D profile neck. The electronics work flawlessly, and a factory correct recent bound tortoise pickguard is installed. With the exeption of one decorative tuner back plate (tuner works perfectly) all the original gold hardware is in place.

Tone is rich and detailed, with a remarkably wide tonal pallette. An outstanding example of one of the most versatile and popular gig guitars of all time.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel wound strings (.013-.057). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original Ibanez rectangular aluminum shell flight case.
