Notes: Vermont luthier Roger Borys is one of the few contemporary builders who had a strong personal and working connection to the great Jimmy D'Aquisto. A legend in the archtop world, the reclusive master craftsman has had a star roster of performing artists including Jim Hall, Emily Remler, Jimmy Wyble and many more.

Borys B-520 model is a hybrid jazz/classical design, particularly well suited for bossa nova and fingerstyle jazz, offering a warm responsive tone without sacrifice of range, comfort and playability. The body has a handcarved, arched spectacularly flamed tiger maple back, and the handsome Venetian cutaway allows unrestricted access to the full 20 frets. The gently arched 12" radius fingerboard is bound with grained ivoroid, with side dots, and the 1 13/16" nut width is particularly suited to the playing styles of fingerstyle jazz and bossa players. The Pick Up The World internal soundboard pickup is particularly responsive for amplifying the delicate nuances of the nylon string guitar.

This example is in superb 100% original condition, without cracks, buckle, thumb or fingerboard wear, and only the faintest traces of normal playwear. The instrument plays flawlessly, with a gentle D profile neck, and is an excellent choice for the crossover player who wants rich traditional tone with a very friendly neck.

Case: Original black plush hardshell case.
