Notes: The instruments built by the Paul Reed Smith company are among the most influential and coveted electric guitars made anywhere. Introduced in 1985, the PRS Custom 24 was the model that put the company on the map, with its highly figured maple top, solid mahogany set-neck construction, and player-friendly features like the low friction nut, locking tuners and comfy 10" radius fingerboard.

This early pre-factory example is a one-owner guitar in superb 100% original condition, with a deeply figured tiger maple top, and warmly ambered 'Vintage Yellow' finish. At 8lb. 3oz. the guitar is very well balanced and a pleasure to hold. Smooth low action over the traditionally contoured solid C profile neck, very comfortable in the hand. A classic model from the dawn of this celebrated builder, the PRS Custom 24 is a striking and versatile instrument for the demanding player.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as needed; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black deluxe plush PRS hardshell case.
