Notes: The rarest color for the legendary ES-175 is the factory ebony finish, and we are pleased to offer this fine example of Gibson's most popular jazz guitar ever.

This example has been well played and well loved, with all original finish and striking gold hardware. The factory ebony finish shows only traces of light checking, and some normal nicks and scratches of a pro-played instrument. The neck profile is a comfy medium C, the 24 3/4" scale is fast and nimble, the original Gibson humbuckers are fat and sweet, and the 16" body is easy to cradle and substantially resistant to feedback. The back of the headstock has been soundly and skillfully repaired, and the action is low and smooth over fine original medium jumbo frets. A rare and eyecatching example, this handsome Black Beauty is perfect for the gigging player requiring a handsome and reliable workhorse, at a great price, set up to the most demanding specifications.

Setup: This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Deluxe black arched plushlined hardshell case.
