Notes: The electric guitars made by the Paul Reed Smith company are among the most influential and highly coveted electric guitars made anywhere by anyone. The PRS Hollowbody series was introduced in 1998, to create a new type of instrument with the warmth of a hollow soundchamber and the sustain and feedback resistance of a solid body. The Hollowbody II enhances acoustic tone with a solid carved maple soundboard, and twin channel electronics adding built in active piezo circuitry to two powerful PRS humbuckers.

This guitar is an outstanding example of the full-size series, with an enhanced body depth of over 3" from arch to arch. The top of the line version, it features the full upgrade twin source electronics package, with dual outputs that allow the player to control any combination of magnetic, piezo or blended signals. At just 6lb. 7 oz. this guitar is significantly lighter that most contemporary solid bodies, and the piezo bridge is supported by a solid mahogany block for stability and sustain. A number "10" inscribed near the serial number, indicates that the tonewoods used are of the most extravagantly figured tiger flame maple obtainable.

This example is in immaculate 100% original condition, and virtually unplayed. Smooth low action over the traditionally contoured "wide fat" neck, a solid, gentle D profile, very comfortable in the hand. Rarely seen on the vintage market, the PRS Hollowbody II is a partcularly versatile instrument for the demanding player.

Setup: The frets have been precision leveled, recrowned and polished as needed; trussrod tension and neck relief adjusted; bridge height adjusted; bridge compensation set; string slots at nut and bridge inspected and recut as necessary; bridge foot contour inspected and fit to top as necessary; bridge wheels and tuners lubricated; fingerboard and bridge oiled; body and neck cleaned and hand polished.

This instrument is strung with medium gauge nickel roundwound strings (.012-.054). The guitar will accommodate lighter or heavier gauge strings, according to preference. String action is set at 5/64" to 6/64" at the 12th fret, with moderate relief for acoustic playing with medium strings. The action may be lowered or raised to your requirements with the adjustable bridge.

Case: Original black deluxe arched plush PRS hardshell case.
